It could be fraudulent conveyance, which is when you give stuff to friends or family members in an attempt to avoid paying a creditor. Giuliani's son claims they were a gift like 6 years ago but that's contradicted by Rudy's own previous filings, expert lawyer that he is.

I'm no lawyer but my guess is that the court tells him to fuck off and turn them over as most property is not protected from seizure other than your home and your car (and sometimes not even them). I guess we'll see!

Put his son in trial for fraud

He had it coming.

Judge Lewis Liman of the federal court in Manhattan said Giuliani must turn over his interest in the property to the women in seven days, to a receivership they will control. The judge’s turnover order of the luxury items is swift and simple, but the penthouse apartment will have its control transferred so Freeman and Moss can sell it, potentially for millions of dollars.

The women, who counted Georgia ballots after the 2020 election, will also be entitled to about $2 million in legal fees Giuliani has said the Trump campaign still owes him, the judge ruled.

In addition to the Trump campaign fees and the New York apartment, Giuliani must also turn over a collection of several watches, including ones given to him by European presidents after the September 11, 2001, attacks; a signed Joe DiMaggio jersey and other sports memorabilia; and a 1980 Mercedes once owned by the Hollywood star Lauren Bacall. Additionally, the judge ordered that Giuliani turn over his television, items of furniture and jewelry.

Liman hasn’t yet decided if Giuliani will be able to keep a Palm Beach, Florida, condominium he also owns, or the four New York Yankees World Series rings he has, which Giuliani’s son contends his father gave him.

That is ridiculous. This will never stand up in court. The DOJ will soon be out of business because it has been weaponized to fight crime and that's partisanship because most of the criminals are members of a particular party and the DOJ is not supposed to get involved in politics.

Perhaps you are being satirical. The Dept of Justice is not involved in this case-it is a civil case between private parties.

I like the part where he basically stonewalled discovery leading to a default judgement. What a moron. Now he's getting everything he earned from his fucking around.

Anyone else think Moonbeam's gone full MAGA?
Don't be ridiculous. The whole attraction of going full MAGA is to have someone on whom you are given permission to dump your self hate. I'm too worthless to deserve any such pleasure. I'm staying in the liberal camp where at least I have lots of company to whine with about the injustice of everything.

Rudy's situation is a true tragedy in the Greek classic sense. He's a former hero-a top notch federal prosecutor and successful NYC mayor at a time of major crisis. Unfortunately some character flaw caused him to throw it all away to buddy up with a grifter-I guess the lure of power is too strong for some. Along the way Rudy has done a lot of damage to the country and to certain targeted innocents, like these two poll workers so I'm not going to shed any tears over his situation. It's a horrible result brought on by his own horrendous behavior-after most of lifetime of good work.

Might as well condense it to:

WARNING: IM A TROLL!
It may not be so much that I am a troll as that your feel a need to describe me that way as the result of the fact that I may have made you aware of something about yourself you have been hiding from seeing, don’t want to admit, and react to the mention of which with a desire for punishment. My sig is there among other things, to tell you I saw this coming quite possibly before you were born, is not personal, but par for the course, and thoroughly substantiated via self observation after being told the same about me by someone who saw further than I did.

Never poke a hornets nest and not expect to be stung.

All this does is give him more time to appeal and reappeal and delay some other ways.

They should have sent US Marshalls to seize the properties and lock his hair dye stains out.

It's not even a character flaw. Conservative media turns a lot of people's brains into tapioca. I suppose you could characterize susceptibility to manipulation as a character flaw, but I suspect it's more a failure of our society to actively educate ourselves to be more resistant.

A competitive society focused on I me me mine breeds envy of the successful which promotes narcissistic egotism among those that win. All these traits based on emotional needs to ward off feelings of failure either by flaunting it or envy of it, produce the motivation behind reality denial. So the problem is deeper than a lack of education. The deeper issue is that we are motivated not to know because for the emotionally damaged, for those with ego, the truth amounts to painful self awareness. The kind of education we need before we will accept critical thinking education is the awareness that we are fucked because we really don’t want it. My opinion

He was always a piece of shit. Always. Like, one of the main events that helped him become mayor was that he incided a police race riot.

He also wasn't a good mayor and made the explicit choice to house the city's emergency response headquarters in the world trade center, probably the city's #1 terrorist target, even after being warned that was a bad idea!

It is not a tragedy at all, it is a lifelong piece of shit getting what he deserves.
