Mad World- Tears for Fears version
Mad World- Gary Jules version
I know, I am about 15 years too late with this poll, but oh well. I loved the original, but the Jules version seems to fit the emotions of the song better.

Like both, prefer Jules, more impactful, speaks more to the experience of the individual.

Yea, the song that he didn't write speaks more to HIS experience as an individual. Not to the person who actually wrote the song. Makes sense.

How are you 15 years too late? This song was covered for Donnie Darko in 2001 (the year the movie came out) and that was the first time this song was heard. He didn't release it on anything else until 2003 so you would of had to buy the Donnie Darko soundtrack to get this song.
The original TFF song was written in 1982. Anyone who thinks Jules' version is "better" probably doesn't like the 80's pop synth scene. TFF revolutionized so much music and influenced tons of electronic music that we hear today no matter what genre
