Jules definitely. TFF has the gay ass 80's New Wave sound going on. I mean they did that gay ass New Wave sound about as good as anybody back then but to me they all sound the same.

Like both, prefer Jules, more impactful, speaks more to the experience of the individual.
Yea, the song that he didn't write speaks more to HIS experience as an individual. Not to the person who actually wrote the song. Makes sense.

I know you're being sarcastic, but Jules' version is the version TFF should have done. If I were to hear the two without any contextual knowledge I would assume the TFF version was some goofy cover of Jules' original. He seems to have had a better understanding of how to convey the original lyrics than the artist who penned them.

It's true, the 80s did sound like a jubilant donkey.

Yeah, in a way, this is like the dying Johnny Cash putting a lifetime of anguish into Trent Reznor's hurt. It was a 'lived' version of the song. Though both are simply outstanding pieces of work.

Original FTW. The cover version got really old, really fast, especially because of the GOW trailer.

Aside from Arkaign, none of you had ever heard of this song before the Gears trailer.

It's hard to describe but I found Gary Jules' version too "sad voice'd", too emotionally distraught. Kinda what the song calls for, but, not to my liking. The TFF version is too fast though...I dunno, I like them both equally I suppose.
