126 in my 97 Integra Type-R (could not get much faster because of the long uphill)
118 in my 83? Dodge Colt Turbo (about 25 minutes above 100 on a two lane with passing and two other cars)
96 in my 99 F-250 SD Diesel (governed)

for a reply to "asked about once a week", the last one was how fast have you been, but not specifying you were driving. That was 145 in a 79 Trans Am, and 145 in a Saleen through the Dip at Road Atlanta (which is much faster compared to I-70 where the Trans-Am was doing 145).

Edit - BTW, Atlanta traffic regularly flows at 80 in the left lane. That is on the Interstates. GA-400 and GA-316 will regularly be flowing at 85. It makes some of these "high speed chases" on Cops seem like a joke because local traffic is not going that slow ;-)

In 81' on a friends 76' 900SS, Bevel drive Ducati, a real 140mph. Sweet music:D

130 mph in my 84' Supra, indicated, could do it all day. Excellent car!

Running across open desert at 70mph on a RM 250 Yamaha has get to be my biggest rush.

Note: The Brits on a good day took the Busa to 199.9 mph, two way run, average speed.
It was a showroom stock bike that had very little tuning. I think it was BIKE magazine.

It's fun till you crash, fall or get arrested..Been there done that.

EDIT: It was a YZ, RM is a Suzi:eek: senior brain fart..

Hayabusa. That's all you need to know. :p

LOL, yeah pretty much, but the scoop is me and some others (including a NH state trooper) went on a closed road for top end run. The trooper had a radar gun (I wasnt sure it would read accurately at that speed, but he said it could). He clocked me, and that's how I know. Motorcycle speedos are notoriously inaccurate at high speed.

BR a bone stock 968 will hover around 150mph. A 944 S2 is 250+lbs lighter;).

Going fast is fine, being able to turn & stop is better.

That 900SS had spoke rims and tubes in the tires.:Q. Think about that at speed.

I've taken my last two cars up to around 120. I wouldn't recommend trying it in a Mercury Cougar, though, because it felt like it was going to fly off of the highway at that speed. My A4 didn't seem to be phased by it, though, although the high speed warning is a bit of a nag :)

My car's governor kicks in at 120 mph. That's fourth gear, and only turning 4k RPMs, and the redline is 6300 RPMs.

Labor day, 2002, 5:30 A.M, hit 128mph on stretch of I 95 outside of Richmond,Virginia. There were only three cars on the road, my Dodge Avenger, a Porsche Carerra and some sort of sporty Mercedes. I tried to keep up with them for as long as I could but they left me like I was in park. I really didn't know I was going that fast because that stretch of road is six lanes wide, straight as an arrow and slightly downhill.

173mph on my 04 Kawasaki ZX-6R. She will do more I'm told when given a longer and flatter road.

I was doing 120mph in my MiniCooperS today on I480 west (cleveland, OH) coming home from work. Definitely wasn't topped out but too much traffic to test the limits. Handled like a dream.

I was doing over 140 in my cousin's '69 Chevelle SS396 about 10 years ago.

I drove daily at speeds from 150mph to 180mph on the autobahn in germany for about 5 years. The absolute fastest I have driven was 181mph.
