What sound setup do you have?
Your primary sound devices.
As in Speakers
List the sound card/supporting hardware below if you want.
And if you have speakers with some Headphones as well.

Eminent Technology electrostats with subwoofer
Harman-Kardon 40 WPC receiver to power the speakers
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card

Same setup as me!.
Im getting some SpeedLink Medusa 5.1 headphones though (like the Zalmans, but far far better, search google for them), as i get complaints when my speakers are anywhere over 15% volume, so some 5.1 HPs will allow me to experiance CoD how it should be......

I couldn't imagine those cheapie creative surrounds being THAT powerful. Hell, my gigaworks at max volume really don't seem very loud to me. That's why I was so dissappointed w/ them. Helluva subwoofer though.

BoomAM,
I`m going for a HI-FI 5.1 AV amp with decent speakers and cables down the road,if you go over to RicherSounds UK site here you`ll find some good bargains, site seems down at the moment .

Theres a richersounds in ClayHead Land (stoke).
Do they sell 5.1 headphones there?
I was thinking of getting a decoder. And having my DVD player plugged into it, and my GC, then i can use them both in 5.1 with the headphones.
My room aint big enough for a "meaty" surround system.

audigy2 going into grado sr-60s. i might end up buying a cheap set of logitech (340s?) speakers to use for music tho.

previously had logitech z560s but didn't have space to keep them. having headphones is nice because i can crank up my games without bothering my wife or daughter.

2.1s .. im not into watching dvds from my computer. the draw of 5.1 in videogames doesn't excite me too much at this point.

nForce 2 APU - Abit NF7-S rev1.2
Logitech Z-640's

And for headphones, I have a pair of these excellent things, which I bought when they were on sale for $4.95. 😀
I've also got a Wowthing - no, I don't know why they called it that.
But it serves as headphone volume control and sound enhancement, as the z-640's lack volume control for the headphone jack. The sound enhancement is great too - the bass can be turned up so much that I get a headache after watching the battle sequences of Deep Space 9's "Sacrifice of Angels" episode (Dominion vs Starfleet). Those headphones are quite capable.

SB Live with a set of 2.1 Advent speakers. Don't even know the model number of them. They are a POS.

Hopefully gonna replace them with a Audigy 2 and a set of Logitech Z-560s.

audigy 2 oem and monsoon mh - 505 5.1 speakers. Sennheiser hd 457 headphones. Turn table, old realistic preamp. Also connected to front room stereo.
