Looks like Cameron may want out. So the Mets could either trade him for a prospect or some middle relief or they could just allow a team like Houston to simply take his salary. If his salary is cleared then that is a sign that Delgado would be on his way. I like Cameron though and if he could play a good right field then I'd rather keep him, but then that takes away a chance for a young guy like Victor Diaz to try to win a spot in the roster.
cameron made it clear, hes willing to move to RF if mets sign Beltran. Hes an Atlanta native and loves the NY Region. Braves already have A. Jones so to move Cameron is unlikely. Even if the Mets pursue Sosa, Sosa will be play LF instead. Mets might have just enough cap room to sign Delgado if he accepts that 30 mil offer.
I guess Cameron wanted to look like a team player thinking (and hoping) that the Mets weren't going to get him. And then do a 180 when the Mets did get him.

Mets centerfielder Mike Cameron previously stated that he'd be willing to move to right if the Mets acquired centerfielder Carlos Beltran. The Mets announced Beltran's signing on Tuesday, and Cameron promptly reversed field. A source told Newsday that Cameron has demanded a trade. The paper lists the Astros, Diamondbacks, and Tigers as potential partners.
