I wonder if Colin Powell could have changed history if he had simply resigned, citing differences with the administration. You know, before the Iraq war. Would that resignation have sent shockwaves through DC?

nah, there's always another yes man available. they would have found a hundred if necessary.
 
I say yes! We can still find those wmd's and we can get out of the bankruptcy we will be in like Osama wanted once we sell their oil! Plus Iraqis will greet us as liberators, again!

Bush would have still invaded (didn't congress already give him the power at that point) but there would have been a growing opposition from the onset and I think those calling the non supporters "non patriots" would have been ignored.
