LMAO - Yep. I was waiting for a quote where Gibson asks the cop for his Jew Gold.

I agree. I think he will lose fans, Hollywood comradery, and a lot of respect for this. The only pity I have for him in this is that he is an alcoholic and he fell off the wagon.
Yeah, I see it the same way. I think his alcoholism is his personal situation, and it's tough to have one's personal foibles become public like that. That being said, presumably none of this would be in the public eye if he had sat at home having a drunk, rather than driving his Lexus 87 in a 45-MPH zone with an open bottle of tequila in the passenger's seat.

By "matter", I mean, is it a crime for not liking something or someone?
Drunk driving is a crime. Liking or not liking isn't a crime in the U.S. yet.
I have no problem with this as everyone is entitled to their opinion. Yet, some people think we should criminalize certain opinions.
Anyone think Mel should be crimininalized for his opinions? Speak up so we know who you are.

Honestly, who really cares what he believes?
He can jump up and down in the middle of downtown Beverly Hills and scream, "I hate jews!" for all I care. I'll still watch nearly any movie he's associated with.
I don't think your views are in the mainstream in that respect, but the bigger issue from Mel's standpoint may be the Hollywood infrastructure. Hollywood is largely run by Jewish men, and in spite of Mel's vast wealth, he simply can't get anything done if the powers that be are resolved to lock him out. I guess the true test will be Apolyptico, which seems desperately uncommercial anyway, and doesn't have the benefit of, like The Passion of the Christ, appealing to Christians worldwide. He may have a hard time even getting distribution at this point (although he may already have a distribution contract, the film is still in post-production, and I have to believe the distributor retains the right to shelve it if they don't like the finished product).

That's not really true anymore. Hollywood is much more heterogenous now. All the jewish studio owners were bought out years ago. The only jews high up that I can think of now are the Weinsteins (sp) who are much less powerful since they broke with disney, and Speilberg who owns part of dream works. You can be as anti-semetic as you want nowadays as long as you are bankable. If people think you will make money, you will get capital and distribution.

I'd say 60% of hollywood is jewish. Just watch an episode of Numbers, seems there is some kind of quota they have to hit except for the token black guy. I've heard some actors will lie about being Jewish because they think it will help get them a part.

I don't give a sh*t if he hates jews...He's entitled to like or not like anyone he wants. Nothing illegal about that. It's even legal to rant and rave about your hatred. Will it impact his career? Probably, since Hollywood is pretty well under the control of the jews, but so be it. Now it's certainly NOT legal to drink & drive, but, being a movie star, he'll probably get off with a fine and a slap on the wrist, as most famous people do.
I'm sad that alcohol has taken him again, but sh*t happens to famous people as well as infamous...or even normal people![]()

It bothers me whenever anyone makes this ignorant claim because I work partly in the industry and I know a lot of people who work very much in the industry and most of them aren't Jewish. There are a fair amount of Jews in Hollywood, but to say that they control the industry is ridiculous.

I think you should read the piece you posted... Ben Stein makes it very clear why the accusations of the Jews running Hollywood is anti-semetic... it's because the assertion of "the jews" being some unified group utilizing Hollywood to attain the "Jewish" political aspirations is anti-semetic. In reality this couldn't be further from the truth... while it is true that there is certainly an extremely disproportionate population of jews in Hollywood, there is nothing unified or directed about their efforts. The concept that "the jews" are using their hollywood power to subvert your mind is absolutely absurd and anti-semetic.
All this "the jews" run hollywood crap needs to stop...
