I saw an AOL poll with 80% yes results. I was in awe. I know alot of people here are in favor of legalization or decriminalization (disproportionately). How many?

Legalize it. Marijuana is safer than alcohol, so why is it illegal yet alcohol is not?
Cigarettes have infinately more carcinogens than no cigarettes. Should they be illegal?Originally posted by: ffmcobalt

Oh? Is that why four joints per week has the same cancer-causing chemical ingredients that comprise a pack of cigarettes per day?

Better to be asinine than hypocritical. Why should one set of people be allowed to do something that is harmful to their health but not another set?Originally posted by: ffmcobalt

No, they don't. And even if they did, two wrongs don't make a right. Don't make something harmful legal just because something else is worse and legalThat's just asinine.![]()

Niether the Constitution nor the Bible prohibit marijuana.

Did you read what he said?
You want to base somethings illegality on the basis that it causes cancer.
Jello ask you if cigaretts should be illegal.
The problem with what you said here: "...two wrongs don't make a right. Don't make something harmful legal just because something else is worse and legalThat's just asinine."![]()
We don't want the government telling us what is harmful or not. We want freedom to choose for ourselves. We also want our laws to be consistant and not hypocritical. the laws regarding tobacco, marijuana, and alcohol are inconsistant, hypocritical, and damaging to this country.
So ban it all.
