so...I don't get the point of discrediting their assembling because it's "Trendy" or some "professional leftist organizing." SO what? Obviously these aren't your people. Did it bother you when old tea baggers came out protesting government trying to take over their medicare, liberals under their beds, this Kenyan black man taking their country? I mean...taxes because yeah, it's about taxes and has nothing to do with us pivoting from Palin rallies to suddenly complaining about "taxes" behind the coordinated efforts and money of Dick Army and Charles and David K.

Point being--if you're going to call out groups for protesting based on their being organized through some sort of grievance or intent that you don't like, prepare to discredit all such groups of protesters.

The Deplorables...I've always said that was a stupid comment. I won't defend Hillary for being that stupid, from a political sense (I mean, come on--what is the use of you or anyone getting mad over that when we aren't allowed to give potty mouth Trump the benefit of assumed decorum? This guy and his supporters openly hate EVERYONE with no pulled words, but Hillary gets scorned for one word. lol), but don't be obtuse: she spoke about a very specific group of Trump's supporters which you can not honestly deny exists. Shit, several of them post here regularly. These are not "normal people." They do not bother with facts, reality, history, honest discourse. They simply don't care.

Trumpsters always had to remind us that he qualified his rapey Mexicans belief with "some of them are OK!", but when Hillary mentions that many of Trump's supporters are "Deplorables, but not all of them," we can't really discuss anything beyond that. When you successfully and dishonestly convince a large swath of idiots that Hillary is some profound evil, guilty of all the nebulous crimes that we can only assume she must of committed, you have done this country a great disservice by allowing the opportunity for this neo-fascist party to "take back the country for the people."

You guys heard that right? And I hope you heard what he was really saying. I have my bottle caps piling up. Worry not, some of us will be able to survive the New Peoples Republic of America. ....Though I probably don't have enough guns, yet. 😀

The situation here seems simple. Werepossum doesn't have much of anything to protest and apparently lacks the imagination to figure why anyone else in this country legitimately would. I mean, you would think from his own admission that life is harder for blacks that they or friends might have something to say about it or the like, but connecting that to this would display a level of self-awareness that would probably revoke conservative membership status.

Werepossum is probably one of the saner right wing posters IMHO.

I do not agree with him often, but he can at least make a point other than resorting to outright slandering and pivoting most of the time.

I don't necessarily doubt that, which really puts the ideology into perspective.

It's lookin' like you boyz is gettin' all hyped up over fake news yet again. They can veer you guys off in any direction they choose and you follow along with nary a thought about what's transpiring.

Hmm, and from CNN no less.

Rotate and zoom. Peeps all the way to the Washington Monument. A pretty stark contrast to the picture at 11:04 AM that suits your agenda.

Do you know how perspective works? The photo is taken from a very shallow angle from the stage. It's only dozens of feet off the ground and its looking down miles of the mall.

Look how closely spaced the speaker towers appear. That 'bit' of white space in front of the building at the back of the crowd? That's the massive white space shown in your other link.

Also, that building is not located back as far as the Washington Monument. It's on 12th Street. Look at Google Maps. It's a good third of a mile closer than the monument.

Your two links agree with each other.

Poll: Will Trump lie about his crowd size?

https://www.facebook.com/DailyCaller

I'll be watching it live, it'll be even bigger.

What difference does it make? Oh yeah, none.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at these moronic threads. Trump has really brought the state of mental health in the U.S. out into the light. Who in the fuck ponders such shit? Besides the OP of course.

Of course he will lie about it. He lies about everything, especially if it effects his ego.

Speaking of who cares, Trump does. A lot.
This is the same man who slavishly follows poll results and Nielsen ratings.

He took time out of his transition planning (which went terribly) to tweet about Arnold's Apprentice ratings, criticize reviews of his restaurants, and deny polls showing he's the most unpopular incoming president in our history.

Quotes from last Wed.

Does anyone else get that 2003 feeling that they see what a f up we're headed towards, but the president's men just refuse to look or double check their assumptions of the guy?

Really hope it doesn't get as bad as last time. Then again Trump insisted his first public act be the trainwreck of Spicer and Conway comments.

Not sure what that portends, other than the circus has come to town.

They know he's lying, they know they're lying, they just don't give a shit.

It's truly the liberal brain defect to assume that dishonesty should bother these people as it might themselves.

This has to be one of the saddest attempts at lying either to yourself or to other people I've seen on here in a long time. As others mentioned the angle used in the CNN photo makes it impossible to say where the crowd ends from that photo. This sort of trick is what you learn in art class in fifth grade. It is frankly hilarious that you're trying to use that here.

All available evidence shows Trump's crowd was much, much smaller than Obama's. Bus charters, metro ridership, personal reporting, aerial photography, etc. If you guys can't even own up to basic, easily proven reality when it tells you things you don't want to hear...

The only thing that thinks otherwise, the "brains" of boomer and Trump

Does crowd size matter? no.
Will he (did he) lie about it? of course.
Then again, Trump doesn't tell traditional and deliberate lies so much as make statements with complete reckless regard as to whether or not they are true. Like a salesman.
Customer: "What's the horsepower in this thing?"
Car salesman who has no idea "275".
It's not a deliberate untruth, it could be 275, he just doesn't know and doesn't care. Of course there are instances in which Trump does tell deliberate lies, but since he doesn't appear to read anything or know anything beyond the most surface level, it's safe to assume almost everything he says is evidence-free puffery and should be taken as such.

I find it quite hilarious that right wingers are not understanding the oldest optical illusion and first one we learn.

The "Grass is greener on the other side" illusion.

Bare spots in grass, or a crowd in this case, disappear when looked at from a shallow angle.

And to end all debate of a media conspiracy: The picture from above used by CNN and others is from the Washington Monument public webcam. Yes, that's right, ANYONE can look at that camera and ALL media outlets could use the footage. All did... except one... Fox News. The ONLY media outlet to never use the Washington Monument webcam footage this inauguration was Fox News, even though they used it for both of Obama's inaugurations.

Hmmmm. I think we found the bias.

So if you're wondering why you're confused in your alt-right echochamber... it;s because your cult leaders are bullshitting you with "alternative facts."

Ask yourself this: Why is no one from the right producing a shot from the Washington Monument themselves to debunk this supposed conspiracy??? It IS a PUBLIC webcam open to everyone. Hmmmmm.

Conspiracy busted.

What a vindictive little baby

TRUMP SHUTDOWN OF PARK SERVICE TWITTER OMINOUS <--- full story

"Washington, DC — Government social media accounts were temporarily shut down in apparent retaliation for forwarding a story that the crowd in attendance for the Trump inauguration was smaller than Obama’s. It signals that a notoriously thin-skinned President may censor not just federal social media but websites and reports, according to Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER).

On Friday afternoon shortly after Donald Trump took the oath of office, the National Park Service (NPS) retweeted two news reports: one with photos showing a smaller crowd for the Trump inauguration than Obama drew in 2009. The other recounted White House web postings on topics such as climate and civil rights had been scrubbed. Within hours, an “urgent” message went out that the entire Interior Department, not only NPS, was “directed by incoming administration to shut down twitter platforms immediately until further notice” and to “contact your bureau web staff immediately and make sure they are complying.”

By mid-morning Saturday, however, the Twitter platforms were reopened after the Trump people had provided “social media guidance” according to an Interior spokesperson. The two re-tweets had been removed from the official feed and replaced by this apology from the NPS:

“We regret the mistaken RTs [retweets] from our account yesterday and look forward to continuing to share the beauty and history of our parks with you.”

“This episode suggests that federal civil servants must now screen factual information for potential political sensitivity prior to public release,” stated PEER Executive Director Jeff Ruch, questioning whether the Trump “social media guidance” had been reduced to writing. “Based on the nervous chatter we are hearing from agency employees, there is already a distinct chilling effect – and perhaps that is precisely the new White House’s intent.”"

Man, if Trump can prompt more releases like this I am all for Trump! 🙂 Awesome footage.

I know, right? I don't understand why he doesn't embrace his ability to attract crowds.

I mean, he really did bring far more people to DC than Obama did. Way, way more. ...just embrace those Saturday numbers, man! He even got people in Antarctica out of their snow caves (or their wherevers)!
