I upgraded my CPU, GPU and storage HDD last summer. The rest of the system is from early 2007. But the CPU and GPU are fairly major parts (considering it's primarily a gaming rig), so I said it was from 0.5-1.0 years ago.

Very odd question to answer, I replace my video card every other year and the alternate year, my cpu/mobo/ram gets replaced. Case/power supply gets done about every 3-4 years,

Main parts are about 2.5 to 3 years old.

Still using my ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 mobo, AMD A64 3000+, 1GB of G.Skill DDR RAM, XFX 7600GT XXX Edition, SB Audigy, BENQ DW1655 DVD burner and some Altec Lansing ADA995 speakers.

I did upgrade the HDDs recently...1 640GB Western Digital and a 1TB Western Digital...upgraded from a CoolerMaster Centurion 5 case to an Antec 300 case. And finally upgraded from a 17" Viewsonic CRT to a 19" widescreen Westinghouse LCD.

2.5 Years old.

Gigabyte 965P-DS3
Intel Dual Core E6300
nVidia 7900 GT
2 GB RAM
Sounblaster Audigy 2 ZS

This is the longest running custom-built PC I've ever had. Its been rock solid and I probably will not be upgrading anytime soon.

1999, emachines emonster 600 upgraded a few times, but finally died in 2008.

Oh and I got an old computer that takes 5 1/2 floppies.

different parts different ages.

*Single core* fx-55 - 3 years
mobo - 4 years, holy crap
case - 2.5 years
8800 gts 320 - 2 years

still plenty fast for everything I do, not looking to upgrade for a good long time.

Monitor is a few years old, speakers are from 1998, keyboard is from 1980s, the rest of my main PC is pretty much under a year old.

When I voted in this poll back in April, it was 3.5 years old.

But a month ago I put in a new motherboard, 4GB RAM, and AMD processor, for about $200 total.

2-2.5 years old for the computer. monitors are like 3-4 years old. athlon x2 4200. if it was my choice i'd upgrade the cpu/cpu/ram before i did anthing else, but my ram maxes at 2gig...and that will be unacceptable for future use.

i do hope sc2 can run full speed ahead at 2 gigs x_x

Power supply was purchased in May '09. HD and wireless card were purchased February '09. MB, processor, memory, and graphics card were purchased in December '08. Case was purchased sometime in late '07.

I'm going with .5 to 1 year.

Main rig in Sig built less than a year ago.. My old one was a AMD Athlon 3.0 .. ATI 3850 AGP.. Ran and still runs great

2 years old, only the video card wasn't in the original build.

I plan for it to survive another 2 years, with one more vid card upgrade.

I will rebuild when I can build a PC that will beat this PC in cpu performance by 25% on a per-thread basis. (Meaning, 6 equally performing cores would not be a reason to upgrade)

I think this is likely with the next intel "tick" (the "tock" will be the 32nm transition, the "tick" will be the new 32nm architecture after that)
