*POLL* Homoadoption - Yes or No

Oreo

There has been alot of talk about homoadoption in Sweden lately and the government has recently made a vote on the question. So what do you think, should it be allowed or not?

Who cares? That's not the point here. And yes I think homoadoption is a "semi" word atleast.

Riiiight. Just keep creating those fake terms, it makes you look intelligent.

How do you people figure its not in the best interest of the child to have homosexual parents? because they wont love them as much? they wont be able to care for them as well as regular hetero parents? if anything, having homosexual parents will teach tolerance

What would you call it? What's your point anyways? Those are the best words I could come up with, get over it.

I say no.
If a person wants to be gay, that's their own decision. Don't let a child grow up being taught that it is the norm though.

Why is it that when a hetereosexual couple adopts a child it is not called "hetereoadoption"? Possibly because that is incorrect terminology. A better way to put this would be "adoption by homosexuals."

i voted yes but i disagree with the poll. i don't think that *anyone* should be allowed to adopt children. i think it should be looked at as to what the situation for the child would be were they adopted. by that i mean like is the couple financially able, emotionally, etc etc

I'm going to vote yes, but I don't like the wording of the answer.

I don't think that "anyone" should be able to adopt. I believe you must be committed to a monogamous relationship, show that you possess the skills and knowledge necessary to raise a child, and ultimately, prove that you sincerely want to raise a child.

Gay or straight, I think that those basic principals need to be met.

Have you ever heard of Freud?
A child without a mother or a father has more chances to have psycological problems...

Imagine one with two fathers...

haha, we basically said the same thing. well, yours was a little better explained. 😉

Maybe, but it is a short and to the point word so I used it. And I didn't make it up, there even is a website called homoadoption.nu or something so there's where I got it from.

My initial thought is no, but I am sure there are some same-sex couples that would make good parents. But its the flaming liberal couples that I would fear raising a kid. Dressing their kid in gay pride stuff when the kid has no idea what's going on.

I have no tolerance for this tolerance drivel.

Should we be tolerant of a person who practices beastiallity and wants to adopt, how about a known pedophile who wants to adopt, or maybe families that practice polygamy.

The word "tolerance" is overused and underthought.

Be that as it may, it's still not a real word.

homo = same
homo != homosexual

thus, homoadoption = sameadoption.

They could be using the deragatory slang defintion of "homo" implying that homo means homosexual. But it's stiill not right gramatically nor morally.

Word.

I voted yes, but I really wouldn't want to be that kid. He/She would hear a lot of sh!t in school. They'd better be a good fighter or really patient.

Frued was a bigger fruit than any of the people he was "treating". Pyschoanalysis is a crock and disgrace to REAL psychological treatments.

Grouping beastiality and pedophilia with homosexuality is just stupid. At this day in age homosexuality has at least somewhat been excepted into our society, while the other two actions will land you in jail for a while.
