I've never seen it myself, but apparently it's a cartoon version of Star Trek that aired after the Original Series but before The Motion Picture. So probably early 70s.

A cartoon from way back then? Jesus. I can hardly stand to still watch the choppy cartoons of the late 80's, let alone the cartoons of the 70's!

voyager cause of doc and 7of9. just LMAO at some episodes.

TOS ist just the best trash-scifi series ever made.
kirk "rip shirt-let's fight" and "ohh girl-let me touch".
spock "i'm better than you" "fascinating"
doc *grummel*
scotty "i need 10... gimme 2"
and new ensign=dead are just too much. it's more comedy than something else.

HAHAHA, there was an episode of The Family Guy that made fun of that. I can't remember which one though.

Kirk: Okay, this away mission is very dangerous, and the chances are good that one of us will die. The away team will consist of myself, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy, Lt. Sulu, and Ensign Jones.

Jones: Awww crap.

TNG > DS9 > Enterprise > TOS > Voyager (I hate that ultra-bitch captain on Voyager).

The best movies are, of course, TOS.

The episode where you turn the tv off and go water the lawn.

They were all good.

I really like Voyager at the end. TOS was in a league of it's own though.

Can't say I like the new one with Scott Bakula.

I think with Next Generation, every episode was a story, with very few story arcs appearing in a season. With DS9 and Voyager, however, there were some big story arcs, with DS9's Dominion War lasting over several seasons. It all depends on what you like. I enjoyed all of the series, but I have heard some complain about DS9's story arcs.

DS9 is the best because of the ongoing story arcs & continuity.

In how many episodes did Tasha Yar die in TNG?

I've liked all of them enough to watch. Overall, I think TNG was the best because of the production values, but the there are other considerations. The original series had smaller budgets and was the first, so it was all exploratory. Credit where credit is due. They did damned well for their time.

One of my favorite DS9 shows was when Sisko went back and interacted with both the plot and actual scenes from "The Trouble With Tribbles" from TOS. The producers of Enterprise have their own special problems because they have to create shows that are "historically" consistant with everything we (the audience) already know is yet to come. One of the glaring inconsistancies is the appearance of Klingons in both Enterprise and all the later series, compared with those from TOS.

TNG, then Voyager. Enterprise is still in it's infancy so it can't be judged yet.

She died in "Skin of Evil", but was alive in "Yesterday's Enterprise" because it was an alternate universe. In that alternate universe, she was transported back in time to the Enterprise C in our universe, where she was captured by Romulans and gave birth to Sela, the Romulan Commander who captures Spock among other things.

Confusing, ain't it! :)

EDIT: To make matters worse, both Yar and Sela were portrayed by the same actress, Denise Crosby.

TNG is the best because in it Yar dies twice. Of course we only get to see her die once, but you can't have it all. It's too bad she reproduced before they killed her the second time though:(

Actually Yar dies at least 3 times (sort of) that I know of. I keep thinking there is a 4th, but can't remember it offhand. Was it Yar that was killed when a mine went off in the underground cavern they were exploring?

In Redemption, Sela reveals that Yar didn't actually die on the Enterprise C, but was captured. (Um, duh, of course she didn't die on Enterprise C in that reality, it was in a different timeline, but she STILL should have died in Skin of Evil....). Yar is executed in the second part of that ep, although we don't actually see the execution.

Very true...

Even worse was the Feringi in TOS that were humanoid and the Feringi in the later series who were TOTALLY different with the big ears.

I guess the make-up got better over the years.

Another reason DS9 is cool: they show closeups of character faces as events occur, while TNG showed all or most of the characters in a scene. DS9's technique made Trek a whole lot more personal and believable.

LOL. The only one that was cancelled, to my knowledge, was TOS. But then it was brought back with the movies so it doesn't really count. :D
