Well, I never thought I'd hear it. At least not from previously-intelligent members of this board. But I've read several posts saying they would support internment (prison) camps, and indeed want them. As the outlook seems that attacks will continue, and may not be able to be stopped, do you support internment (prison) camps for arabs/middle easterners in the US?

That's a idiotic statement in itself. I know of no 'Patriot' who would deny freedom of any law-abiding citizen.

I thought it was more appropriate, given the more specific definition of internment.

Yes, I'd recommend changing it to prison camps as well, I took it as a different meaning and voted (now I want to change my vote).

Time for you to brush up on your comprehnsion skills. I never said a Patriot would endorse the denial of freedom.

Rather, I said that there are people out there who would endorse the denial of freedom in the name of Patritotism.
Obviosuly these people are not Patriots. Just because they think they are does not make it so.

UNfortunately I am gonna have to disagree with most of you about this...

I mean I would hate to see it too...but if we come to a point were the COLLECTIVE safety of americans cannot be assured by our government and as a last ditch alternative we must detain a certain population.....DAMN, it is hard not to say no. Especially if lives are saved.

ALthough I do support the idea....I also don't think that we will ever get to that point.

I also believe that the government will never agree to initiate that type of activity due to the fact that there will never be a consensus as to when camps could/should be put into effect.
