I can understand one (if you're a fan) but 4 is just gratuitous.

wouldnt say i LOVE dmb, but i do like the music alot... got tickets to the show in houston in july:) but just for general seating way in the back on the grass:(

I don't have hatred for any musicians, however I never listen to the guy and I never want to. I geuss one could call me indifferent.

I really liked him with his first album.

After his following albums and seeing him live in the WORST CONCERT I"VE EVER EXPERIENCED, I really dislike him.

I'm amazed by all the bigots we have here at ATOT... either you are making a gross generalization about only white people listening to DMB (not true, at last year and the year before's DMB concert in Saratoga, NY I'd guess 1/3 of the audience was black, and that isn't counting other races), making a fool of yourself by saying that DMB is and is for white people (2 white guys + 3 black guys = over half not white), or are insulting their music by saying it is predominately focused towards the white audience (the core of the group has their roots in jazz, which, *gasp*, is not a predominately white region, go to the louisiana jazz fest if you don't believe me... and now they are getting into doing some funk, along with blending their own style of rock into it).

Me? Well, I'd consider myself to at least have respect for the group, even though they aren't one of my favorite bands, by far. Dave has undeniable talent, is an excellent guitarist (his 12-string skills are quite good), and has a tendancy to creat music in abstract timings, which is incredibly more difficult then the 4/4 you tend to hear on the radio. Of course, it's really something to see them live, as the amount of energy is amazing, and he tends to put on a long show where you get your money's worth.

Now, to go back to the part I quoted... first of all, you have no tact at all, and secondly, if I would have said "I hate DMB and all the black people who listen to it" or "I hate DMB and all the reds who listen to it" I would have been banned for it... what makes it okay for you to do it towards whites?

Goes into the "meh" category for me. Some of his stuff is quite tolerable, and the rest really stinks.

His music blows and the people who listen to it are idiots. Surprise, surprise, what color people usually listen to his "music"?

It's one thing not to like a type of music... that's fine, everybody has different tastes
It's a different thing to call all people who like a type of music idiots... again, different tastes but if one wants shows their narrow mindednes, go ahead
But it's completely fvcking rediculus to bring race into any of this

I just think Dave Matthews is sexy. :heart:;)

His music/band are pretty darn good, too.
