So it's one of those must-dos because everyone needs to wear one when they grow up ? Wrong.Originally posted by: flxnimprtmscl
Honestly, if you're over the age of 12, and you don't know how to work a tie.... you're wasting our oxygen. Stop it.
First week ? It was just the first day and I wore my best tie which was already tied. The interview was a couple weeks prior and they made the switch then (before I started). I obviously would've learned WHEN/IF I HAD TO. But I didn't.Originally posted by: JulesMaximus

When I started my first full time job, I showed up in a tie... then they told me they went to business casual the week after I showed up for my interview... so I never had to learn for myself. And now I work from home... just never had the need... but shoes on the other hand...Originally posted by: JulesMaximus
What's up with all you wussies who can't tie a tie? It's no more difficult than tying your shoe.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you can all tie your shoes?
What did you do during the first week? Good lord. My Step Dad showed me how to tie a tie once. That's pretty much all it took. God, if you do it yourself a couple times trying to get the length right you should have it down.
I guess there aren't that many jobs now that require it but you should still be able to dress yourself by age 20...IMHO.
