As for how often do i think about it... pretty often to be honest. Sometimes i do think it'll be so much easier to just let go of everything. And no i'm not depressed. I don't have suicidal tendencies or anything, and will never willingly kill myself.

Yeah...I am not that religious, at all, but I think that statement is wrong, completely.

Would you not think that those who "believe in heaven" would fear it less since they think they will end up at such a wonderful place?
 
Im a little bit scared about it but not as much as I usta be its just a freaky thing to think about because its un known. When I was younger I would constantly think about it. Lately I have been WAY to busy to deal with it. I do think about it once a week but not necissarily enough to make me fear it. Once you are older you will fear it less and less I think and eventually you will prey for the day you die lol. For me probably the day after or the night of my Wedding. HAHA J/K
 
No and no. None of us are going to avoid it so I don't see the point in gripping over it too much. You're born and then, sometime, you'll die. These things happen. *shrugs*
 
no, and yes.. but only yes to the 2nd cuz i get daily reminders from pansy friends "oh, dont go to Iraq, blah blah blah" No clue if i'll end up there or not. Probably a decent chance, but I'd rather die there then hit by a drunk driver or Cancer
 
Do not fear that which is inevitable. The time you spent thinking/fearing is better spent on things you already have...LIFE. Go travel, learn to play the guitar, meet new people, ride a bike, etc. Too many things to do and see for you to sit there and think about death.
 
"A fear of death does not keep one form dying, only living" <- one of my favorite quotes.

I have had at least 2 near death experiences, sorry guys no white light that I remember.

What kind of school do you go to sman789? My god...I have enough free time to think about random sh!t, and I did a crapload of work this semester.
 
i fear certain types of death.
i wouldnt want to be burned to death or drowned.
i wouldnt want a death that involves pain.

i do not fear death that is over in an instant or a peaceful death as in death while asleep.

So if you're not there why do you care? Once you're dead it won't matter to you anymore and you certainly won't be afraid.

I voted no and no.

My biggest fear is that my son would go before I do. That would be incredibly painful. Hopefully, I'll never have to experience that.
 
in the purest sense, the idea of death is the unknown. It is that which resides beyond the scope of our lives.

All people fear the unknown. Those who don't are fools. Having fear is not a bad thing, succumbing to fear is. Fear is a necessary driving force that polarizes us, makes us determined to shed light on the unknown.

In a war, I wouldn't want a soldier who was completely unafriad; I'd want one that's afraid just enough to win the war.
 
No and yes... when I signed up for life I knew death would come along with it. I do think about whats afterwards, though.
 
Don't fear it.

To be honest, I couldn't really care if I died tomorrow, would be really peaceful and relaxing.
