I don't fear it, or think about it all that much. Either religion is right and it will be good, or atheists are right and it will be nothing. It's hard to get upset about nothing. After all, I won't be around to be upset about it ;)

why fear? you have a whole life to live, dying usually takes a very short time usually.....or atleast the pain as many are saying they are afraid of

i don't fear the death itself, but more of the consequences of it.
(yeah, i believe in the afterlife and how we have to be responsible for everything that we did when are alive, all the good stuff)

I used to be afraid and think about it obsessively. It was part of my Panic Disorder. But every since I've been taking medication (Paxil CR) I don't think about it anymore. It stopped me from thinking irrational thoughts.
Drugs alone will not help you to recover from Panic Disorder, it has done more harm then good in some client. Get plenty of exercise, fresh air, be socially active, and don't think too much.

I know it doesn't help me to recover from it. But it is the only thing thats helped. I've tired everything else. It runs in my family, and it seems drugs are the only way to ease it.
Just like with any medication, they have all kinds of adverse side effects; and are also very expensive.

It's the loneliness that I fear the most as you get older, I might live too long and that scares me more then a quick death :)

I don't have any side effects. It may be expensive, but its worth it to me to not feel like I'm going crazy. I'd rather die than feel the way I used to feel.

They don't control me. You cannot understand because you don't know what its like to have Panic Disorder. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I don't like taking medication, I never wanted to take pills. I was reluctant to for awhile. But it got to the point where i had no choice. I don't enjoy the medication, I enjoy how I feel. And if I have to take a pill to feel normal, so be it. You're right, for some people it doesn't help or it makes them worse. But for others, like myself, it helps them. Just because you had a bad experience with them doesn't mean they aren't beneficial to others.

No. Everyone has to die. Im prepared for death even though im still 16. You can never tell when death will come.
Yes. There are so many people around you that die. So obviosly you will think about your death. Thinking about death gets the best out of me.

Wow.....old thread of mine.

I have now started thinking less and less about it because school is starting to take up alot of my time.

Do I still fear it? Yes, I fear not exsisting.

Do I still think about it once a week? No, not so much anymore.
