Dogs are dirty. They slobber all over you and don't care to be clean.

Have you ever seen a dog clean up after itself?

We take our dogs outside...they crap in the backyard (good fertalizer). And my dogs don't slober.

Every year during the summer I have stray cats in heat come into my backyard and pee all over my window - every day! Do you have any idea how BAD that stuff smells? I wish i could grab that damned cat and ring its little neck.....

I prefer to think that cats simply have too much dignity to allow themselves to be enslaved. Actually, pigs are smarter than either one.

Cats aren't stupid, they just have a different personality type. While most dogs act like the human is THEIR master, cats know that THEY are in charge and that humans only exist to serve THEM

You CAN train cats to do tricks, however, but it's almost impossible to do so without giving them a reward. I thought my cat to speak on demand for it's food, but it took a few weeks of training.

I had a great dog growing up. I bought cats in university becase they are easy to take care of. I've since taken care of a dog over a weekend and somebody else's dog and I can say the answer to your poll is cats. Dogs are great and all and nicer than cats for companionship. But damn what a pain in the ass those things are. They need to crap and piss, always all over you. And the big ones stink to high heaven.

We have 5 cats and a dog. I like the cats better because they can basically take care of themselves. Throw them some food once a day and they take care of the rest.
