I'm afraid of a liberal stand on healthcare and Kerry in general (he seems almost socialistic to me), I'm afraid of Bush because he's not really acting like a conservative (just a psycho). Since the liberals have two marks against them, and Bush only has one, I guess I'll be forced to vote for Bush.

Not sure but I think this is inaccurate. Kerry wants to stop filling up the petrol strategic reserve, temporarily, which is not the same thing as "opening" it.
Currently the reserve is at 651 million BBLs out of a maximum allowed of 700 million BBLs, so Kerry's idea doesn't seem likely to affect our abilities in a crisis. In fact Bush said as much when he announced he was going to fill it up to the brim again back in 2001.
But the Republican succeed in making it sound all scary and stuff, part of their long term political strategy to use fear instead of facts to win elections.
Hope that doesn't sound too severe a criticizm ! 😀

Yea, Clinton just bombed Iraq in '98 to take the focus off of his impeachment trial. Remember, Clinton ordered the attack on chemical and biological weapons facilities that don't exist.

The perjury isn't a valid point. What IS a valid point is that Clinton not only believed there were WMDs in Iraq, he supported the war.
So to say Bush lied is to say Clinton lied, too. To say Bush was incompetent because of this is to say Clinton is, too.

I should have clarified, by "put down Kerry" I meant "voted for Kerry". So you'd rather have a trained monkey in office who makes the United States look like a big friggin pansy? Why don't you just move to Canada, there you can have a lame duck leader who doesn't really do anything other than have the name "Queen". I personally like the man I vote for to have a set of balls and actually do something other than play hide the cigar with the interns and flip-a-coin for the issues. I don't hear too many people bitching about Bush when they get their tax money back.

Well, when it comes down to it, I'm a white single gay guy. I have a cat, a house that's paid for, and 2 $30k cars. I make about $100k a year.
While I think it's terrible that bush is so against gay marriage, I think it's great that I paid less taxes these last few years than ever before. So I choose Bush because of my wallet. Wallet > Heart.

I'm against the war, but I totally disagree with you about the economy. It's not Bush's fault... changes in economic policy take time to actually affect the economy. Imo, the current economic conditions are a result of the Federal Reserve not keeping interest rates in check during Clinton's term and then overtightening monetary policy in order to fend off inflation. The job market IS getting better (and outsourcing is a GOOD thing... it creates better jobs for Americans and leads to a higher standard of living).
I'm a college student, so I'll be voting for the first time this election. I'm leaning toward Bush right now mainly because of the economic issues.

and during the time when he increased anti terrorism funding by 300% and ordered osama dead, republicans could only concentrate on blow jobs. they didn't care about iraq back then when clinton cared, its funny that its so important to them now. whats more important is how clinton took terrorism seriously, and bush once in office hitting the ground running thanks to clinton, did nothing. instead ashcroft cut anti terrorism spending 50 million on sept 10th 2001.
