Hardly a landslide.

Did you even bother to read my post?? check the results of the past few presidential elections. compare the differences in popular vote vs differences in electoral college. a 5% difference in popular vote has usually meant an electoral landslide, which is exactly what i said above.

How do you know he was the first ?
Rumor has it that Bush 41 was the first. Clinton was just the first to receive it from a female.

That wave was coming way before he got in office, and the economy was on a downturn at the end.

All politicians are, but Clinton is nothing but a liar and crook.

:D

Put Regan in there...

I have no words for Clinton.

The presidency of William Jefferson Clinton will be remembered for many things, not the least of which is a string of White House firsts unequaled by any of his predecessors.,

Clinton's remarkable record will also show that he is: ,

The first elected president in U.S. history to be impeached -- Dec. 19, 1998.,

The first U.S. president to be publicly accused of forcible rape -- by Juanita Broaddrick, Feb. 24, 1999.,

Er, correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought that Andrew Jackson was the first president to be impeached. Learned that in private school. :D

Now he's on the $20 bill.

So I guess Clinton will be on our money in the future eh?

Well, I went to public schools, so you may have no interest in what I have to say, but I believe Andrew Johnson, not Jackson, was the first President to be impeached, and Johnson was not elected - he assumed office after Lincoln's assassination. Jackson was administratively censured by Congress, but never impeached.

I still would not call 5% a landslide with a 3rd party conservative thrown into the mix.

Any war will pull the country out of economic problems. The economy turns into a war economy and the goverment starts spending and selling.

This is just BS. The only reason why World War II turned out economically well for the U.S. is not only the government spent more money but most of the money spent directly benefited the people by providing them with jobs. Women, kids, everybody had jobs. The U.S. also spread awareness of American brands overseas so selling products to other countries was easier. If you go to war today, who do you think would benefit? Large defense contractors who employ a miniscule fraction of the unemployed. The Vietnam War literally drained the country what it had gained during the years after WWII
