I can't believe no one has voted for Kevin Garnett. Best player in the NBA.

Period.

<< Sorry, but that just doesn't make sense. Allen Iverson throws up 30-40 shots a night, while his teammates can easily get over 10 a game. Kobe Bryant and Shaq takes alot of shots because they are talented and can create thier own shots. The other players can't. Kobe has been averaging close to 8 assists a game in the last few games since the allstar break, that's not selfish, yet he and Shaq are the only ones that score points. >>

Actually AI takes 24.7 shots a game, a few more than Kobe. The difference is, Allen takes alot of shot because he has to for Philly to win (and it's working). Kobe takes alot of shots because he wants to. It's no coincidence that this year, Kobe's shots are up, and Shaq's shots and the Lakers wins are down. Kobe's hurting his team...bottom line.

And about Kobe & Shaq creating their own shot, actually, only Kobe can do that. Shaq still needs someone to pass to him. If they ran the triangle like Phil taught them, the "roll players" wouldn't have to create their own shot. They would get open shots through running the offense.

Kobe and Iverson are both shooting guards. Kobe averages 4.9 assists, Iverson 4.8.

Kobe's a helluva player. Maybe the most talented in the league. But he is no MVP.

Tonight's game against San Antonio proves my point above.

Laker's beat SA in San Antonio, 119-109. Seven Laker's were in double-digits.

Fox 17, Grant 12, O'Neal 22, Rider 16, Shaw 11, Penberthy 10, and Horry 13

Direct quote from Shaq: "This is the way we should play every night, it was a total team effort."

No Kobe, and the Laker's have one of their best team efforts of the year...hmmmm ;)

That's a great point Shaady1. The games where Shaq was out Kobe "needed" to score 40 pts a game just to win. Shaq must me a magician, he found a way to only score 22, without the leagues second best scorer, and still win the game. Maybe the Lakers are better off without Kobe, maybe not.

I vote for Iverson for a number of reasons. Most importantly he is not as full of himself and conceited IMHO. Kobe has an attitude problem and thinks who the freak he is. Being a ghetto fabulous thug with nice braids is a plus too for Iverson.

Now if we could get Kukoc to NY for Rice or Houston, that would make my day.
