26 here. 6'0" 190lbs However, to have a one size fits all BMI chart is ridiculous. I'm far from overweight. I'm well built with barely perceptable love handles (the curse of being 35 years old).

These charts do not take into account muscle mass or bone mass. Everyone is different.

These things are crap. These dont take into consideration your bone or muscle mass.

don't think thats right though..theres some guys in the nfl who are like 5'10" 180 or 5'11" 190 and they arent overweight...like someone earlier said it doesn't account for muscle

BMI doesn't work for athletes and bodybuilders.

However, it should be relatively accurate for the typical AnandTech nerds.

<-- 6' 170lbs - built

whoever said that they're 6' 200lbs and they're not overweight needs to get a second opinion. unless you have 17" pythons and are active, you're fat. can you see your stomach muscles?

i'm 5'11 and about 172 pounds. so i'm like what close to the border of obese. thats CRAZY! some of my friends said if i lost 10 pounds i would look like a kenyan marathon runner. i'm not a stick, but i'm pretty built i guess. BMI is such a bad overweight indicator i think.

I'm 5'9 and 165lbs. That puts me at about a 24.4.. Normal.. lol

My girlfriend is 6'0, 190... That's 25.8. Hmm. Bah. I think this thing is too general. :p Gotta take into account body type, too...

After reading through the thread, I think we have come to a conclusion..

This thing is suck.

Well, ok then, you're overweight too!

Pretty safe bet anyway, aren't like 99.9% of all Americans overweight? ;)
