You can not eat or drink anything

If you do become ill or are not healthy enough to fast you dont fast.

Also, pregnant women are forbidden from fasting on Yom Kippur.

I know some groups are allowed to drink water on a fast. I wouldn't make it past lunch time without water.

I'm glad he does. I get confused about who's writing what. If only there were some sort of mechanism built into the forums to separate comments from different people...

Well I don't know about those specific groups , But if you hydrate properly the day before you will be perfectly fine. You don't run, work, stand outside in the heat..ect because you know you are fasting. you take it easy. I had no thirst problems at all and actually was hungrier then thirsty at the end.

I just finished my noodles about 10 minutes ago. So yes, I've been fasting for the past 10 minutes.

If I ever even considered stopping signing my posts, it is comments like these that keep me going.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Yet other people keep bringing it up, I respond to those people and people like you keep telling me no one cares.

Interesting.

It really annoys me when militant atheists have a problem with things like this. Let the religious folks have their customs and rituals, it does nobody any harm. Stop being bothered by religion for the sake of being bothered.

I find it amusing. I really don't care either way... it's just one of those things that makes ya wonder what thought process lead the person to that action.

I'm curious... why do you do it? Is it habit from posting somewhere else that doesn't obviously identify users? Is it just one of those irrational things that one does for no real reason?

never mind.

:p

All of those things have a hell of a lot more meaning than any holiday dedicated to fantasy men in the sky.

Conversational piece maybe, but life's got way too many problems for your signature to have any real importance in the world.

I'm glad that you've found something to place value on though.

I find it so interesting that people who are anti-religion cannot help themselves and have to post in threads like this one even though these threads are obviously not aimed at them.

Sometimes the anti-religion crowd is just as annoying as the evangelic crowd.

Is anti-religion is the new religion?

MotionMan

Its not that people are anti religious, its that religion is outdated to cavemen.

They couldnt explain what the big yellow orb was in the sky, so they thought it was some god like entity. This IS the foundation of all religions today.

Science has taught us, that the sun is gases and shit. (i dont know im not a scientist) Kinda makes religion seem somehow... a waste of time.

Religion maintained that Earth was the center of the universe and jumped up and down when proved otherwise.

Now again in the modern world, stem cell research could save millions of lives, but is held back by people in robes and beards jumping up and down.

I think i started another anti religion discussion.....

I place no value on it. AGAIN, it is other people who bring it up. I simply answer them. It is people like you who seem to make a big deal about it (like by responding to THIS post).

Make fun of it? Sir, I aspire to be a priest of your church.
