I'm not going to click the link (because at first glance it looks like a moron bait site) but I'm assuming its for females who identify as men and this is specifically about situations where only gender specific bathrooms are available.
Yep. I didn't link the fox site because someone might have been triggered.

Um beg your pardon but from briefly looking through the website's Front Page, this looks like a Far Right propaganda piece instead of anything proper.
How about a lefty site?

It's Ma'am

It's a mental health problem.

Snowflakes are gonna snowflake - but if we want scientific data than the question is male or female only. Not what you are feeling like today.

We spend much too time and tax dollars on the fringes of the population.
Conservative think tank disapproves, film at 11.

Speaking of science...

Basically, yes.
Yep. I didn't link the fox site because someone might have been triggered.
That site is actually worse, but it does actually have a link to the ACLU page.

In summary - Females menstruate. Don't tax products that menstruating people need get their menstruation on.

Well, there really IS a bullet point in there about them not being available in men's restrooms, and I get it, but naturally conservative media is having a field day with it. But on the other hand, it seems like a silly thing to be triggered by... of course, many of these manly men would be afraid to be seen buying such products for a woman in their life.

You don't really have to answer this for the most part.

I've seen a lot of web forms that won't let you pass without certain field filled in.

If you are a company why waste money marketing tampons to humans with penises.
People (families, couples) share accounts.

Regardless of which box is checked on a form, there is no guarantee that person is the only one using the account.

In light of how often things have been changing recently, would it be offensive to change the question to "biological" sex instead? So have 3 options:

1. Biological male
2. Biological female
3. Prefer not to say
Yeap, plenty will find reason to hate on it regardless of the truth.

It isn't about doing the right thing or what is truth - it's just a victim culture mentality mob where the sole goal is to be perceived as a victim.

The whole sales tax argument is a hilarious joke. Clothes are needed by society standards - and it is taxed in just about every state. No seriously, try going outside and walking around without clothes and tell me it isn't needed.

If you want to go with the whole sex route, condoms, jock straps, and other make necessities are also taxed. It's an argument that can only come from the mouth of someone that is mentally handicapped.

Menstruation is not an optional activity, the "male necessities" you list are for optional activities.

So what does a tampon cost, a quarter? $0.25 X .0825 = 2 cents with rounding.

Time to take to the streets! Call your friend with the thousand dollar iphone from your thousand dollar iphone.

Even as a guy I always felt it was weird that there is a tampon tax, it's just such an odd and random thing.
It's not a tampon tax. It's your equivalent of VAT on it.

Don't let people misconstrue shit. Like I said, we also have the same tax applied to clothing. I can't run around naked without getting a ticket for indecent exposure (and likely register as a sex offender).

The only items typically not taxed are food (and typically bad foods like soda and candy aren't exempt) and services - and it varies based on the jurisdictions.

Oh interesting I always figured it was a separate tax on top of the regular sales tax. Didn't even realize it was actually an exemption of regular tax that people wanted. Not that I've ever had to buy those. :p
You should menstruate more.

It really was a way to force women into pregnancy so they wouldn't have to use them. The Kanukistan shadow government wants an army to invade the US in 22 years.

Sneaky bastards.
Who could blame them? We've got huuuuuuge tracts of land.

I think that they should just have Male, Female, and Other options for gender on a form. My hunch is that 98% of the population will choose the first 2 options, and half of the remaining 2% will be offended that they need to choose an Other option and perhaps type in their gender identity into a text field.

That said, it's only half of the remaining 2% that will be offended. You're never going to please everybody, and it's better than a giant dropdown list of 20 gender and identity options that confuses and annoys everybody.

Sounds reasonable.
