You have to be kidding me. This is complete bull. Ugh... they pull you over for some minor infraction, then they say "oh yeah, i notice you have an aftermarket muffler, some timing changes... yada yada." I really despise these Officer Hardases. I am sure they have better things to do. I wonder how they happen to know all this stuff about cars  "I see you have adjustable timing!"???

Thats just my opinion.

not move to cali.

after watching it, some people on other forums complained about the "arrest for failure to comply"... that happens if you fail to comply with ANYTHING a cop EVER says for you to do... no different here. also, its Cali... they are frickin weird.

IMO this should not be done. You can't(legally) stop and search a man on the street because he "looks" like a criminal...so why can they do it for cars?

clear taillights are illegal, and he stopped him for the missing front L.P. perfect cause.

Racial profiling... for cars! :D

Wow. I guess a lot of street racing happens in San Diego. I never see street racing here in Alhambra.

Yeah. What the cops do is look for little things that are illegal, then proceed to bust you for others things after that.

Same here, of course, then again, I am in SE Nebraska (Omaha specifically). I drive the interstate on Friday and Saturday nights between 12am and 1am for a couple miles in town and manage to see quite a few people out driving their hopped up riceboxes around. Most of them are a joke, a couple are the real deal. However, the cops do little to nothing about it. It isn't a huge deal here.

yep, a pretty good amount goes down on friday/saturday nights. usually in the mira mesa and sorrento valley area. ive been a few times where its pretty much the streets will be lined up for at least a mile, mile and a half with cars to watch the races. funniest thing is to see the cops come in though, talk about a mass exodus.

Lol its ironic that the video said that street racing is dangerous when my friend who was racing a undercover cop got pit manuevered by the cop and spun out and hit the guide railing without ever flashing lights.

Do they actually allow cars in CA that have factory-installed "loud" exhausts? For instance, my spec V comes with a stock low-flow muffler that's prolly as big as the one in the video. Could I be arrested just for that??

most things in CALI require CARB stickers on them when youbuy them to be legal.

That was pretty weak. Just because he had a modified car doesn't mean he is going to street race. My Cobra has some work done to it, but I dont street race. They are beating around the bush going after little jonny in his civic just because he has a big tach, and not addressing the real problem of street racing.

Oh BTW, that MSD ignition pack is 50 state legal with a CARB and E.O. number. I'm willing to be those headers and intake are also legal.

What time does this illegal street racing happen on Mission in Alhambra? Wait, wait. I do recall hearing some cars racing and some dumbass in a civic hit some other cars ~1AM on curtis st. They sealed the block off so I couldn't get a glimpse of the damage. Can you say... dumbass? HAHA

Who cares what you do to your car. Just don't race in the damn street, take it to the track.

<---- Buddy was hit and killed by street racer. Fortunately, that guy is now in jail.

I have been pulled over when living in Hawaii a few times for that, and was cited for having 20in wheels on my M3 (which came stock with 18's), so talk about a BS ticket.
