STFU.

Keep taking it from the police all you want. The story wouldn't have been the same if the police wouldn't have attacked him when he wasn't doing so. Given the fact that they were assholes, I don't feel sorry for them at all.

Don't be a jackass and run onto the field and then resist and you won't get beat. Problem solved.

Exactly. The perp had 100% control over how much force was used to subdue him. If the force was "excessive," he would have stopped resisting.

The point is any kind of physical violence was unnecessary to begin with, and the cops are the ones who started it

Because you guys dont understand portuguese, I will translate it for you:
"He was just trying to say his family supports the portuguese referee"

(apparently this was an european competition, Im not sure)

THATS IT, he actually had good intentions, he just went about it the wrong way
Heck, I bet if the police had done nothing, the guy would have ran over the field and back to his sit

If he was carrying a weapon or something, it would be totally justified, but this?

You can't be serious.....

Ok by your logic, I can go rob a bank b/c I want to give the money to the poor ala robin hood style. Afterall, my intentions are good right?

And if the police had done nothing, then how many other people would follow suit and start doing shit like this? They will see that police won't do anything so they just do whatever the hell they want.

Yeah great thinking there bud.

I have a feeling you'd support the police/enforcing authority no matter what they do. All they have to do is imply plausible resistance, right?

I don't think I've ever seen a single poster in this forum advocate that all cops are right all the time.

The opposite is not true. There is no shortage of retards on this forum that think all cops are bad all the time. I can probably take a wild guess as to which category you fit into.

OMG!!!! Enough!

This is really simple:

There are good people in the world, and there are bad people in the world.
cops are people
so........some good cops and some bad cops in the world

That video shows cops beating an unconscious man. That's inexcusable, in any context.

What makes you think I'm OK with that?

...and the "cops" in the OP's original post could have been GOOD people for all we know (they did not demonstrate bad or inappropriate behavior in that video).

Maybe you didn't notice, or pretend not to have, but I said this:

The one at the end wasn't even really involved; therefore, he didn't abuse of anything. I was talking about the several policemen that did attack him. I don't feel bad for them one bit.

And I wouldn't join the police force because many of the laws I'd have to uphold are complete and utter bullshit, not to mention it's not really an intellectually demanding job. Funny how you go from saying "they may have been in the wrong" to completely sympathizing with them.

If you abuse of your power, you're a POS.

So you have no experience being an officer or with law enforcement in general, but you can suddenly claim it's not intellectually demanding and that it is seemingly below you? Nice intelligence you have there.
