OH NOES!!! :awe:

Kinda stupid that it happened over a stupid soccer game, though.

And you STFU. Gets pretty tiring to see people defend the police any chance they get but don't care to call them out or do anything when it's usually the police that attacks people for stupid reasons.

That was reprehensible behavior by those people. The security guards were doing the job we expect them to do. You are a HORRIBLE person.

... with the exception that the one guard got a series of baton hits in on the already prone and subdued streaker, which was also ugly and not cool.

Well, those were jabs and he was clearly trying to get the perp to put his hands behind his back. They guy was resisting. The security guy would probably get bitten if he tried to get to the perp's wrists. If it takes some jabs to get the guy to stop resisting, then that's what it takes. It was not excessive. It was the bare minimum amount of force.

Seems the opposite way more often.

Dunno, it looked excessive to me. I'd have to look at it again to make sure, but I'd really rather not.

They clearly were... if that includes kicking the guy several times and hitting him with a baton, even though he wasn't attacking them and was only resisting.

Kinda funny to see the hypocrisy of some people here. The moment someone does something to the police they start crying, but when it's the police doing it they turn the other cheek.

If they wouldn't have acted that way, the people wouldn't have done that. It was simply a matter of arresting the guy without kicking the crap out of him even though he didn't attack them.

LOL at your last sentence.

It was the minimum amount of force. If the perp was still refusing to put his hands behind his back so they could cuff him, then the beating was NOT excessive.

So, how would YOU stop someone from resisting while minimizing risk to yourself?

If I was drunk and ran around naked in the field like a dumbass, then got tackled by some guards, and was so impaired that I resisted a deserved arrest; feeling the blow to my side should make me realize that I need to cooperate before I get seriously injured.

Delusional people really believe the security guys just wanted to beat a guy. Do you think they would really use excessive force in front of so many people? That's just not realistic.

You are complete right now that I think about it. The only way to stop someone from resisting is to kick the crap out of him and to hit him with a baton.

Actually, no you're not. That makes no fucking sense. You use equal measures to stop something. If he's resisting but not attacking, instead of using physical violence, you try to stop him from moving by having some of the security guys on top of him so he doesn't move and by having some others grab his hands so he can be handcuffed.

So, what exactly are the batons even good for? :colbert:

If I did the same thing as that fool, then resisted apprehension, I would deserve however many blows it takes to make me realize that I'm not going to escape...especially if I posed a danger to any one of the poor guys that had to subdue me.

What about when they get the cuffs on him? You think he's just going to stop resisting then?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! You use "equal measures" and you're putting yourself at risk. The fool does not have a right to put anyone else at risk.

Yes, he was clearly putting everyone at risk (even though he didn't attack anyone). I mean, look at what he did: he ran across the field with a flag and resisted arrest. Simply atrocious!!!

In response to this atrocious act that could've resulted in the injury of hundreds and the deaths of many kittens, the police did the right thing and kicked him several times and hit him with a baton. Now that's what I call JUSTICE!

Also, the batons are for when someone attacks you physically (which he didn't).

Don't play dumb. I was very clearly talking about risk to the guys that had to subdue him.

Feign ignorance if you want, you'll just look stupid.

"Equal measures" is bullshit. By your logic, the security guys would have to take turns confronting him one-at-a-time until one convinces him to cooperate.

What risk? He didn't attack anyone before or after they beat him.

Also, your take on what I meant by equal measures is a ridiculous spin, to say the least. If he continues to resist, you continue to not let him move. What the hell makes you think that once you're cuffed you're gonna try to get away, anyway? But then again it's you that's saying it, so that's to be expected.

But keep defending the police when they're wrong anytime you want. Goodbye.

Good riddance. Please stay away from crowds (especially sporting events).

YOU are the one who have no idea what was happening underneath that pile. If he wouldn't give up with multiple guys on top of him, why do you think he'd give up as soon as cuffs were on? They absolutely had to make him stop resisting. He was obviously not rational if he continued to resist with a bunch of guys holding him.

Somehow, I can just tell that your brain is wired for mob mentality.

STFU.

Keep taking it from the police all you want. The story wouldn't have been the same if the police wouldn't have attacked him when he wasn't doing so. Given the fact that they were assholes, I don't feel sorry for them at all.

Something is wrong with you.

LOOK AT THE UNCONSCIOUS GUY GETTING REPEATEDLY STOMPED IN THE HEAD!

Think about HIS FAMILY.

You have no idea how deplorable you are.

Just. Stop.

The cops may have been in the wrong but that doesn't justify a bunch of random people stomping on a person, regardless or whether or not he's a cop.

To be honest? Fuck you.

THIS!

(thanks for saying it so I don't have to)

It's worth a vacation. I don't understand where people get the idea that cops are all rotten. Sure, many of them make mistakes (like us), but you only hear about the bad things they do, not the countless crimes they've prevented or solved.

Oh my, I am so offended. :':)':)'(----------> how offended I am.

Actually, I'm not. If you are supposed to uphold the law, you shouldn't abuse of it. Therefore, I am not sorry for them.

Very stupid that all of this happened over a soccer game, though.

Maybe you didn't notice, or pretend not to have, but the cop being stomped at the end didn't use any excessive force, nor did he do anything other than use reasonable force.

But in your opinion, one cop made a mistake, so all of them should pay the price, right? Right?

How about you join the police force and clean up the streets, because you're of such better character. Oh, wait, you won't, because you're a pussy, whereas these guys risk their lives on a daily basis with no thanks and minimal pay.

:hmm: The second time you've said that.

Happening "over a soccer game" would imply it has something to do with the players or the outcome.

It was over a dumbass and some security people that had to do their jobs. Some of them possibly died or, probably, permanently paralyzed or suffered brain damage from it.

The one at the end wasn't even really involved; therefore, he didn't abuse of anything. I was talking about the several policemen that did attack him. I don't feel bad for them one bit.

And I wouldn't join the police force because many of the laws I'd have to uphold are complete and utter bullshit, not to mention it's not really an intellectually demanding job. Funny how you go from saying "they may have been in the wrong" to completely sympathizing with them.

If you abuse of your power, you're a POS.

From a basement dweller, this doesn't surprise me. Sometimes the situation gets the best of you. People make mistakes. Cops are people. We're people, we all fuck up.

So because this ONE cop mad a mistake, they all deserved to be stomped in the ground? You're an ignorant piece of shit. I'd like to see you survive one month in a state that didn't have cops.

Yes, keep justifying it. And I already said I didn't care for the ones that attacked him.

Also, funny how I, a supposed "basement dweller", am living by myself in an apartment. We don't even have basements in this country, moron.
