Cough ... Cough ... B.S. Just don't get too used to making that much salary - if you actually do. Besides, it has not been my experience that companies tend to pay well over 100% the going rate of the market salary. Companies usually monitor the salary surveys quite well - and usually at best, you'll get 10 - 15% over the market rate.
Cough ... Cough ... don't make your jealousy obvious or anything.

I have a bs in cs and don't work in that field. I make however much business is sent to me and how much I drum up. Average 40's-50's

America is going to(or has) have a surplus of educated people and a shortage of skilled and trade workers. School as a solution to your career and money problems will quickly fade as time goes on.

Or that's simply the most likely option for people to vote for if they just want to mess with the results. Not that it's not possible. Technically, Bill Gates would fit that category.

Maybe the IRS will track them down and use this as a source.

"You reported an income in excess of $200,000 last year, yet only paid taxes on $4,500 and $1,000 worth of free french fries given by your employer."

But you can't attain PE unless you're educated. Besides, a degree is something that says you've done this and that and is recognized by a higher authority. Since getting your PE licensing is just that, why shouldn't it be entitled to be a part of the poll?

Like you said, PE is a license, that's not a level of education, so I am not adding it!

Consider yourself lucky, I had 178$ CAD that the Province of New Brunswick paid me for being unemployed with a BS/CS. That was right when I got out of school, I had worked enough in the last two years to get some unemployement money.

US Census Bureau:

20 17,984
50 43,318
80 86,867

Considering that there are a lot of young kids w/o income here and we are reporting individual income, Anadtech forums are frequented by many rich people.

I'm a grad student working on my PhD, so these numbers don't necessarily count for much.
