I have a few. Nothing really cool...

Browning Buckmark .22
Wards .22 carbine (grandfathers)
Wards 16ga pump shotgun (grandfathers)
Remington or Winchester (I can't remember) 12ga pump shotgun

I'd love to get an SKS or AK, but haven't found a good place to buy them.

Wow, the gun owners are winning by a considerable margin. I knew we had a lot of owners here, just not that many. Me=no.

You just contradicted yourself. ;) Also, if you're looking for an AK variant, check out the Yugo underfolders. They're awesome and can be had for under $500 after shipping and FFL transfer fee. Check them out at ClassicArms.us

Freaking nice. Got any pictures of it?

Unfortunately no, it was one of my last acquisitions before moving.

Some of my other Mosins are pictured here though (including the antique SAKO): Text

I have a 12-gauge pump shotgun for home defense. My wife loves the feeling of safety she gets from having it. She never felt safe before then, especially when we lived in an apartment. We don't have kids and none ever visit, so it's not locked in a case, rack, or anything like that.

why not spend $720 on ammo for one instead of $800 for 10 guns? its his money and he can do what he wants, but i dunno, i just don't understand why you would want more than 2 of the same gun unless they were different calibers. its not like they're really collectible and worth money at $80 each other.

WTF... those poll numbers can't possible be in line with the population as a whole. If this many internet geeks own guns, I guess it doesn't surprise me that we have school shootings, because there are a lot of internet geeks completely off their rocker. Myself included.

Because I collect military surplus weapons....and I own more than 10 Mosins. They are all 7.62x54r

There are a ton of variants in the Mosins alone. That is only 5 M91/30s, 2 M39s, and 2 M44s, and a M38.

i bought my sks off a friend for 80 bucks back when they were 99 dollars. he needed cash, and i loved shooting that thing. he had upgraded to the folding composite stock and some other upgrades, so i got the better deal. you be surprised how many people have offered me real cash for it now.

If someone offered me $80 for one of my Finnish M39s, the M28, or my Tula made M44 I'd laugh in their face.

But you could also look at it as the reason why we don't have MORE school shootings.

It takes more than just owning a gun to drive someone to shoot another person... especially when self defense isn't involved.

My dad has a 12 gauge pump shot gun and a desert eagle. He always had it locked up in a cabinet by his bed. My brother's broke into it when we were little kids and played around with them. He never found out. now that we're all adults, he actually took them out and he wants to take us to a shooting range to fire some rounds.

Which is why I said that there are a lot of internet geeks off their rocker. If 2/3 of internet geeks own guns, and 1/10 of internet geeks are off their rocker, then probably 1/15 internet geeks are internet geeks who own guns and are off their rocker.

I wouldn't disagree about why there aren't more school shootings were it not for the fact that people are not permitted to bring guns into school, not even for self defense.

K1052, what is the model number of the shorter Mosin? I have one now and really enjoy shooting it as a plinker. Mine is the longer barrel version, I believe it's Russian. Since they are so cheap, I'd like to pick up another one day. Thanks.

I own a few, but don't have a SO at the moment. However, my parents were pretty upset when I told them.
