I tried to argue that since there were more vehicles than drivers, and we don't loan them out, impossible to have same real liability per vehicle and rates should drop, but they wouldn't budge.

I pay Flo $50/mo for nuthin. (Almost)

I drive a couple of hundred miles a month on average. Both cars sit in the garage over 25 days each month. Since I can only drive one at a time, the other can sit for 2-3 months without even being started.

What's annoying is that there are pay by miles driven policies in some states, but I'm not sure even they would work out less.

I hate insurance.
I had one of my cars that I didn't drive for a few months out of the year when I lived in the land of snow, and my State farm agent would let me suspend the policy. And yeah, I also have my policies set to 7,500 miles/year instead of the standard 10,000 or 12,000 or whatever.

Life in the country......

No idea how long it's been there or where what left it went.

I live next to a field but not really in the country. One time I was changing a belt on mower deck, reached over to get the belt and it slithered away because black snake not belt.

Creatures seem to come in waves here. One year we had a lot more grasshoppers, then other years it was snakes, or field mice, or toads, japanese beetles, chipmunks, bats, etc. but usually just one creature increases in numbers that year or two.

Last couple years it's been stinkbugs which are super annoying because when it gets cold in fall, they all try to come in the house and unlike most flying insects, have a lifespan of several months so may just stay hidden for months then dive bomb me.

Major stinkbug invasion last year.

Couple of years back it was fake ladybugs. Last year, some of them too, but not as many. They say if you have soy bean fields around, you'll get them. I got lots of soy beans around this year.

I also have a small poly pond, maybe a 100 gallons or so with some goldfish. Every once is a while, I find one or two less fish meaning somebody had a fish snack. Snake, cat, racoon, bird, who knows ....

I guess either nobody knows Acronis, or nobody reads that forum section.

A bit of a rant here, something I cannot stand is when people use the acronym AIB and think it means partner company. For instance, EVGA is an Nvidia partner, they are not an AIB! They make AIBs! Or when someone says "the AIB video cards are better..." better than what? All video cards are add in boards! Derp!

The more people I encounter, the angrier I get.
I get it, couldn't even drive out of my neighborhood tonight, without enountering someone who made a right turn onto a lane with parked vehicles, so they came into my lane and had to stay there for a fair distance, had to brake far ahead of time because I noticed the situation, wait for this idiot to use the wrong lane to go past all the parked vehicles when s/he should have seen there was nowhere to go and waited. It was not hard to see that they had no path if they had only looked.

A couple blocks later, someone who doesn't understand staying in their own lane making a wide right turn for no reason, so again I have to brake and wait for them to go through my lane and get out of the way.

Then there's the couple who decided that on unlit streets, after dark is a good time to take your dogs, and baby out in a stroller to walk in the street. No reflective gear, no lights, just let's be in the street despite sidewalks they could have used.

I didn't get very angry about it though, by now I've just assumed that I have to expect that idiots are everywhere and I have to adjust my actions to take up the slack for their poor choices.

We need rain, bad. Everything is going brown. I pride myself on mowing tall and not irrigating. But it's crossing the line and I'm close to going out there with the sprinkler and hose. Damnit.

Yeah, had rain here too, saved me from bothering to drag out the sprinkers and hoses which is a PITA if you don't have to.

Plus, my summer garden likes the slightly acidic rain vs slightly alkaline tapwater I have to supply otherwise, got a couple inches of growth from everything.

Went to town this morning. Hadn't been back long and got a phone call about something else. I really, really didn't want to go out again, but I ended up netting a cool 3 Benjamins I wasn't expecting.

I get free monitoring via Experian through one of my banks. I log in to check some things and I see a 'special offer match' from Lending Tree. $20G for 36 mo at 12.97% for a total payback of $22,824

What kind of a dillhole do you have to be to pay 13% interest?

I just paid off a $20K loan that was at 4%
