There's no anime character, maybe you're just seeing a design in the rivets?
The mail is leaving an interesting wear pattern on the back of the guitar, curious to see how that develops over time :D

Yeah, that's the intent behind it, allegedly the model was inspired by seeing Jimi Hendrix playing a right-handed Jaguar. It's a Squier Super-Sonic.

Manga coloring book time!

I went to a concert on Friday night, this kid in front of me in the bar line asks if he can buy me a drink. I look at him and say "you want to buy me a drink?" and he says yeah, it's his birthday, so he wants to buy someone a drink. I told him that I think it's supposed to work the other way, and that my birthday is coming up soon too. He asks how old I'll be, so I tell him forty-eight. Then I ask him how old he is, it's his 21st birthday. I told him sure, he can buy me a drink, and maybe I'll get him back later in the evening.
We ended up chatting a bit in between bands, still not entirely sure if he was trying to pick me up (he's literally younger than my youngest kid, so... like, even if I were single, that's just a hard no).

Flying cars are worst idea ever. People have degenerated so much, 2D driving is beyond the grasp of a significant portion of them. A substantial number of that group would manage to fuckup 1D driving.

So I knew this gear was mounted to a simple piece of wood when I bid on it, but I did not realize it was a cheap cutting board, I was mildly amused. If it works, it works. I will not be using the cutting board myself.

Built in carrying handle.
Yeah, there's that, but it's awfully thick and a bit light-weight. The one I use for punk shows has a built-in handle too, but is thick steel plate with rubber feet to help it stay put on stage during use. But based on the setup here I think the previous owner just had everything on all the time, and probably used a built-in tuner or clip-on tuner. My other boards are a bit more expansive and usually travel in their dedicated carrying bag, so a handle isn't really called for.

Thinking about buying a crossbow pistol. It isn't something I want to spend a ton of money on. Cheap options on amazon are tempting, but quality seems iffy. I don't mind a little crappy, but it ultimately needs to be usable.

Ya'know what sucks?

You need one thing for a project. Shopping around, you find out you can get five or six for the same price as one, maybe even less, so you buy the multi pack knowing you might never use the extras. I mean, just in case ... some day ...

Dollar Twenty Five Tree seems to have gone to All Prices Tree.
Been that way for awhile. They have a $5 section, and maybe some other prices. I stop in when I get catfood cause it's the next store down, but I don't often find much. Every so often I'm surprised though. I stick to the $1.25 section.

They had some Italian Ices over the summer ... one was Mango.

Really good. Grabbed four or five each trip. Then they didn't have them any more. Checked every store in the area as I passed by for other reasons. None.

Well, I did a bad time using PTO this year (I did take some).
Just finished putting in my entries to get myself down to 40 hours of carryover, so I'll be working a full week next week, but then the next time I'm working a full 5 days won't be until February (we can use this year's PTO up until 1/31 and state law mandates that I can carry some over too). Dunno what I'm going to do with all that time off, been a while since I hiked a whole mountain, probably write/record some more music.

I had to get cat food, so I stopped in today. You're right. Prices have really sprawled. Started as $1.25. then you had a "premium" section where things were $5, and now all bets are off. Stuff /tends/ to be $1.25, the marked pricing is shit, and could be anything. Takes away one of the biggest benefits of the dollar store; knowing exactly what every item costs. I'm not impressed.

Bought a box of Good&Plenty. That's still $1.25. For now...

Same thing with Five Below (toys & candy & whatnot for $5 or less). Then they added a "premium" section for $10 items...and now they sell $15 items. I've heard some stores have stuff up to $40 now!
