Please Wisconsin and Auburn win your next few games

i think they should consider a 4 team playoff. that would only add 1 game to the season, and i think they can at least narrow it down to 4 teams at the end of the year who should have the chance.

Massey gives the following chances of finishing the regular season undefeated:

USC: 77%
Oklahoma: 94%
Utah: 84%
Auburn: 59%
Wisconsin: 42%
Boise St: 83%

There's a possibility that this year there won't be enough 6-5 teams to fill all the bowls.

that would be sweet to see the end of the post season of college football! Maybe when 1- a team with a losing record gets into a bowl game and 2- there is a 3 way tie for the national championship with 3 undefeated teams we will finally see some changes being made. What other sport in the WORLD doesnt have a clear definative winner? (Olympics and judge-based sports excluded)

I dont' know about Auburn, but UW looks pretty good to go undefeated.

Damn right and include undefeated in post season.

Our d is just nuts and now with AD back and a good passing offense now--i just dont see us losing.

Yeah.
It's a shame that Cal is stead ahead in the BCS.
Hopefully if we beat Iowa, that will be worth something.

This whole football ranking ranking system sucks. It's all a popularity/exposure mechanism. Such dark horses like Oregon, for instance, should definitely be ranked.

To make it fair to all top teams, the BCS should emulate the Champion's League tourney(i.e. Euro Soccer of Champs tourney) where the top 2 teams of every Conference play until reaching the finals. This would be better than Bowl Games.

Such a tourney would settle all such questions as to whether Cal, Wisconsin, Utah, or Boise State are better than their rankings or Auburn, Oklahoma, USC are worse than their rankings suggest.

In my mind, there is no TRUE #1 until ALL top teams get their fair share of playing each other. Ideally, such a Champions League Tourney should allow every team play the best 2/3 games.....of course, this will never happen unfortunately.

Please tell me that you mistakenly typed "Oregon" because that team doesn't make any sense with the rest of your statement. Oregon has yet to beat a ranked team and has lost to 3 ranked teams and one terrible team from the Big Ten. By your logic, UNC should be #1 because they have lost to 5 ranked teams and beaten 2 others.

The BCS is a crock of sh!t, and always will be untill a playoff system is developed. Bottomline is that the NCAA doesn't want college FB extending pass early Jan since College BB is in full bloom. The only way we are going to get a playoff system if the NCAA allows for the an extended season of College FB which is highly unlikely. Every year there there is no clear winner thanks to the BCS and it looks like we are going to have a toss up between USC, Auburn, and OU for the national champ game.

The system sucks and NEEDS to be fixed.

If there is any justice in the world, there should be NO way that Boise State goes to a BCS bowl.

The only way boise goes to a bcs bowl is if auburn, texas, utah, and michigan lose in the next 2-3 weeks.

Even then, there should be NO way they go to a BCS bowl. I'd take a major conference team with 2 loses over them.

well, that's the nature of the BCS beast. losses drop you in the standings, especially losses late in the season. Boise has none.

Due to the nature of the football team and NCAA scholarships, there is an advantage towards major conferences when it comes to recruiting. It is VERY difficult for small conference teams to compete. Hence, even if a small conference team goes undefeated in their schedule, they probably aren't as good as most major conference teams. Look at Tulane a few years ago. To say that a team like Miami (who has 2 losses) or even a team like Georgia Tech (who has 3 losses) is not better than Boise State is ludicrous. I agree there would be a lot that needs to happen for Boise State to get a BCS berth, but even if those things do happen, they shouldn't get a berth.

I agree with you. If the teams I listed above lost though, and boise finished the season undefeated, but the at-large bids went to texas, wisconsin, or someone else with a loss, there would definitely be a lawsuit filed. I hope they seriously consider a playoff system after the BCS contract is up.

Do you say that because of 1 close victory to a sub-par team? How about Texas this week. Guess they don't deserve to go either.
