Since USC and Oklahoma are almost assured an undefeated season, I'd love to have 4 undefeated teams so the BCS will get 2 huge black eyes....

Bring on a playoff system...

Well, at least Auburn can win out. Wisconsin needs to lose so Michigan can go to the Rose Bowl. :)

I am sure that, if it did happen, the BCS will put a Major League Baseball-esque spin on the situation and talk about how they are "evaluating the system".

And don't forget Boise State and Utah. There could be 6 teams undefeated at the end of the year. How can you justify only having the top 2 teams play for an alleged championship when THREE TIMES that many can say they are worthy?

I'm torn. I'd *LIKE* to see Iowa beat Wisconsin in two weeks....but a small part of me wants WI to go undefeated just so that they beat out MI.

:D

There was an article in SI about how they're reevaluatin the BCS system. My ass they are... if there were 6 or even just 4 undefeated teams, that'd be awesome. I don't get why they don't just do it like NCAA bball, it'd be more fun anyway.

GO BLUE!

:)

Honestly, the weekend of the 20th is going to be very interesting. UM at OSU and Wisconsin at Iowa.

Both teams could lose that week.

Go Bears.

Cal will wind up in the Rose Bowl if both the Bears and USC win out.

If they made it so there was a 16-team playoff in the same kind of fashion as the NCAA Bball Tourney, there's no way they wouldn't make a sh1tload of money.

USC was awesome last year. No doubt about that. I would love a shot at Cal this year though. :)

#1 - 16 teams is too many

#2 - There is no doubt that there will be TONS of money made from a playoff. College football and the people who are in charge of making the decisions on the direction of the game are just egotistical, greedy buttholes. They don't want to lose their piece of the money. They talk about the "tradition of the bowls and college football" and how they, as well as the athletes, would be compromised by a playoff. Well that is bullsh|t. Nothing like the steeped tradition of the Poulan Weedeater Bowl or the Seattle Bowl.

Wisconsin can win, but Auburn definitely needs to lose to UGA...

...and then somehow Tennessee must lose to Vandy or Kentucky.

I can dream.

Utah is the underrated team this year. They KILLED North Carolina by over 3 touchdowns and NC knocked off Miami and almost won yesterday. They also beat Texas A&M by 3 touchdowns and A&M shoulda beat Oklahoma. Their win margin is 25 points! The second rated offense in the nation and their defense is up there too..Cmon they are awesome!

The BCS Bowls give the NCAA too much money(kickbacks)

They will reevaluate it like they do every friggin year because every friggin year it breaks. When was the last time that the BCS actually worked?

I'd love to see Utah and Boise State go undefeated as well. Personally I don't think Boise State would really have a pot to piss in though as they would probably have a losing record if they played in the ACC, SEC or Big 12 South

I think an 8 team playoff would be best. 4 rounds is too many, 2 too few. I think 3 is just right. But then you will have just as much controversy about who gets into the top 8. Unlike basketball, where even mediocre teams have a chance, that competiton for 7-8 by the top 10-15 teams in the country will be imense.
