<< seriously, as a friend, you should tell her to dump him. >>

I have but she just says "I love him" which pisses me off because my best friend stayed with a jacka$$ for two years because "she loved him" and he cheated on her 12 times and now I have a new friend doing the same thing.

Seems like he must not be into her THAT much. Most of us would do almost anything for the right girl... To bad really.. either that, or he doesnt understand the importance of seeing her off this way...

I really have no idea- I've never been that way...but a lot of my friends are and I can't seem to figure it out. Of course, there have been times when everyone around me has thought my boy was a jerk and I stayed with him through it and I'm glad I did.

<< how old are these guys btw? the "missing dinner" part makes me wonder... >>

He's 19...I think that's just one more excuse for him.

LINUXBOY- I see your points- if it was the way you described, I wouldn't go with her if I was him either and I wouldn't expect him to go either and I would advise her to not make a big deal out of it.

well if you listen to loveline a lot, this will sound familiar, but i think it's because they didn't get enough attention from their dads when they were little, or they got the wrong kind of attention.

you bring up another good point btw, just because everybody says a guy is a jerk/asshole/prick, does not mean he is one. i'm a living example... the only reason i have the reputation is because this girl thought i was dating her, but i had no idea she thought so, and this led to her thinking i was "ignoring" her... the injustice...

<<

<< seems logical to me... she'll probably just be hooking up with someone else in the
4 months she'll be gone, so he's just getting ready for the inevitable.
>>

Not her and he knows it.
>>

That's probably why. He thinks he own her, and he can be a jerk and get away with it. End it and he will smarten up, maybe. Actually. he will probably do the same thing with another chick later on.......

Is it just a regular dinner or is it a dinner party type thing. It might be important. Maybe he promised someone he'd meet them? Maybe it was his only chance to go somewhere and have the most perfect dinner, ever! If it was going to be a once in a lifetime dinner thing I guess the guy has a point.

Since the girl asked I think it was his duty to go, if he didn't have anything important to do (unless he has an unnatural fear of the airport).

yea i know, that isn't even the worst part! the worst part is that i liked this girl! i was devastated when she "dumped" me. it's like finding out that you had sex with shannon elizabeth, but you're too drunk to remember any of it... you feel ripped off!

sounds like typical ass behavior for that age... and typical clueless girl behavior as well. i wouldn't get too involved if i were you though... 95% of the time your friends will never listen, they have to learn the lesson for themselves.

<< We need pics of your friend.............:Q >>

I wondered when someone was gonna ask this...I have a pic of her from a digital camera, but I don't have a place to put it, so I don't have a link to give you...sorry.

And Gotsmack- it's just dinner like his mom is making dinner like she has every day of his whole life, nothing special, she won't mind if he misses it or is late because she loves my friend.

Well, there you went and did it...You opened up the flood gates for all the "sensitive" guys to come through and tell you how they're not like that...

did somebody mention pics?

seriously though. I think it's wrong for him not going if he's not doing something important. I don't get why girls stick up for that kind of sh!t.
