I'm not exactly sure what you're implying- Ok, yes some girls flip out when their "perfect" guy doesn't do every thing they want.....but my boy is more like SaintGRW and I know he'd spend the time with me. Not all girls have trouble seeing decent guys that are right in front of their nose.

I'm not implying anything. I'm talking about the typical reaction from typical girls that leads them to say something like "Guys are all such jerks," or in this case, "Please tell me all guys aren't like this...." Of course all guys aren't jerks, and all guys aren't "like this," but those are the guys women choose to date, so I don't think anyone should pity them. Now now, I know everybody is going to think I'm bitter etc etc, but I'm just stating facts.

women who aren't interested in settling down aren't looking for a "perfect guy" .... they're looking for someone who will bang the crap outta 'em and treat them like crap... for some reason this is exhilirating... they get off on this... and they find guys like these a challenge...

most women look to change a guy... but a guy who resists change is someone they'll most likely stay with... because this person won't bore them.

trust me.... I was a former pu**y... I'm now reformed... this nice guy crap does NOT work when it comes to dating... it works when you're looking to get married...

He*l, I'd be going ballistic just about the thought of not seeing my wife for 4 months. I would be going to the airport with her and staying till she got on the plane. I'd also be making plans to visit her whenever possible.

There is one possibility with the guy. It's possible he thinks she is basically dumping him, but she doesn't have the nerve to do it but she figures by being gone 4 months he'll give up. So the guy is giving up thinking that she just wants to get rid of him.

Good god, why are you coming down so hard on this guy?

Why should this guy have to waste 3+ hours saying goodbye, especially when he cant even go inside the airport because of security restrictions? All he would be able to do is drop her off at the curb, he cant go to the gate and wait with her.

Your friend sounds a bit possesive if she cant say goodbye to him at home without wasting 3 hours of his time.
