According to the former U.S. official, Mexico takes its sovereignty seriously and feels as if the United States does not respect its laws and independence.

For example, the U.S. and Mexico have inherent differences in criminal sentencing. Mexico does not have a death penalty; it views such punishment as cruel and unusual. Texas, on the other hand, does have the death penalty.

At the time Tahmooressi was arrested, Mexico was pleading with Texas not to execute convicted murderer and rapist Ramiro Hernandez, a Mexican citizen. Texas disregarded Mexico’s request and executed Hernandez on April 4th.

The Mexican Foreign Affairs Ministry opposed Texas’ decision, stating, “This is the fourth case of a Mexican being executed in clear violation of the judgment of the International Court of Justice. The Government of Mexico expresses its most vigorous protest at the failure to comply.”

Mexico might be thinking, “You did not listen to us (about Hernandez) so why should we listen to you (about Tahmooressi)? You want us to respect your right to prosecute and punish. Now you must respect our right to prosecute and punish.”

Mexico may also be upset because our agencies and officials have a decades-long pattern of entering its country to fight the War on Drugs without its permission or knowledge.
Apparently, Texas is to blame.

What else is new?

wow don't ever make a mistake around you, holy shit.

arms smuggling? lol there is video of him telling the guards that he has 3 guns two in the bed of the truck and one in the cab. yea that arms smuggling!!! burn him!!!

seriously wtf is wrong with you.

According to the Mexicans he entered the "nothing to declare" lane. Would your video (that you didn't bother to link) be from after he was detained while trying to get through without declaring anything? It doesn't count if you declare after getting caught.

What would you call it if a foreigner showed up on our border with weapons and ammunition? For the border patrol, circumstances like PTSD and moving are irrelevant. They see a guy entering the country with undeclared weapons and ammo, he goes to jail. End of story.

Put your politics aside and any reservations you may have for bill O'reilly and sign this petition to release a Marnie that has been imprisoned in Mexico since April 30th. His crime? Driving down the wrong way and entering Mexico. You could barely see the sign that says "turn here to the United States." He had three guns in his car which he legally owned and when he entered Mexico by accident the Mexican border patrol arrested him. He called 911 and explained his situation, but becasue he was in Mexico authorities couldn't do anything. Now the small sign they had there at the border is a light up sign in the wake of this BS.

Here is the 911 call. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omZupO2K1tc

This guy is the stupidest fucking moron on these boards.

1. No one could mistakenly enter mexico. I live on the border and the roads to the crossings have tons and tons of signs.
2. He was breaking California law by carrying them loaded.
3. The only thing your idiotic petition is going to do is give Bill O'Reilly more e-mails addresses for his mailing list.

I like how in the video the OP links he claims to be a "good, moral guy" but then goes on to say that he believes in god. disgusting.

Mayne FINALLY got autobanned, we don't need you picking up where he left off.

You must have an irony deficiency. is pointing out irony a bannable offense? If so, I apologize. Perfectly ok for him to imply that he's moral merely by virtue of his faith, but it's not ok for me to suggest that someone religious is necessarily immoral, which seems almost equivalent (almost since my implication is a lot more cogent). 🙁

edit: also, stupid threads deserve flippancy.

Seems quit a few pin heads think this guy is an idiot. Now I ask you, have you ever made a mistake? If so YOUR A FUCKING IDIOT!!!!

Not that kind of "mistake." Making that kind of mistake, and further believing such an "error" to be a simple mistake, is certainly idiotic, however.

Again, I doubt this was a mistake. Who the fuck drives around armed to the teeth, ready to go at a moments notice, on their way and into Mexico? A soldier suffering from PTSD, no less. He was already breaking state law before he crossed the border, and tell me he didn't know the laws that he was already breaking.

I've read enough about current soldiers getting themselves into some crazy shit back home, starting jacked up militias or whatever, running drugs, for all sorts of reasons.

100% this guy was up to no good. 100% his only "mistake" was getting caught.

This situation is pure partisan FUD, fed to retarded sheeple.

No way I totally agree with Zin on something?

I sent him a personal pointing that out myself, so nice of you to quote it and go for him.

There are really better ways to handle that.

Not signing that at all. The guy is too stupid to bother over. He deserves exactly what he gets.

Which includes being punched in the stomach, beaten and chained to a bed?

How exactly does signing a petition on Bill O'ReallyRight's website mean jack? Is he going to magically get him released when he goes and tells the Mexican government "See I got XX signatures of American's here, now release him"

I sign petitions all the time from change.org and they have worked.

Why don't you move somewhere like Texas then? You don't belong in a state as awesome and progressive as Colorado "Don't mess with Texas" sounds like that is exactly where you belong.

Awesome and progressive shouldn't be used in the same sentence. This state is fucking stupid and I would feel more at home in a state like Texas, Alaska or North Dakota. Colorado can't even pass Jessica's Law and is going the way of California and we all now how fiscally responsible California is. Yeah, prgresivism is awesome. 🙄 🙄 🙄

none because i don't have to protect myself from other people with guns.

Man come after you with a knife. Guy strewn out on drugs? What are you going to do. Anyone breaks into my home it's a shot gun blast.

Shame, I have always wanted to visit Europe and it's people like you who put Europe to shame. The simple fact is they are increasingly secular progressive and in my book that's a turn for the worst. What are they doing now? Tearing down cathedrals?

Thank you word police! Your Jedi-like word police skills are duly noted. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!!! DOES TYPING IN A LARGER FONT HELP????

There are degrees of mistakes. Driving into a foreign country "by accident" with multiple loaded firearms which was illegal in the place from which he left in the first place? Yeah, that's just "a mistake." It's really quite simple, there is extremely limited window for "mistakes" with guns. This guy is an idiot. Simple.

Who said they were loaded?

Just found out this guy was homeless apparently and carried his belongings in his car.

Hey, it happens, probably not the best idea though to carry around his weapon collection, possibly a small storage locker?, If I got to the state where I had nowhere to live I'd be thinking about selling off my gun collection so maybe he could rent a place, possibly keep a a handgun if he felt he needed it for self defense.

Wow, that's the kid from T2?, damm, talk about letting yourself go, maybe he got severe depression after all the adoration because T2 was so successful, then nothing else comes along and no one recognizes you in public anymore, all of a sudden you've got to deal with getting a real job..
