Please lets not continue to flame ATI

While I will admit that the recent string of completely unneccessary pro-nV/anti-ATi threads have been quite annoying, you still need people calling out the companies for the big problems, otherwise they (the companies) keep getting away with it. I think people definitely should call out nV IQ problems and ATi paper launches, but we could easily do without these "512mb GTX is 800 mhz core! nV rulez!" or "R580 has 256 pipes! ATi roxors!" posts.

I only have two problems. ROllow and Keys continously posting ATI bashing posts in Video. I think that that alone deserves a ban.

I am a constant supporter of Nvidia, and prefer Nvidia when buying video cards, but to see them constantly bashing ATI makes me feel like I have to defend them. There fanboyism is childish.

More Nvidiots because Nvidia struck back hard for the spanking ATI gave them during NV30. Now fanATIcs are quieter. It will always be like this.

ATI also won the performance lead the previous round too..
Anyway... So actually some ppl admit NOW that are biased persons and all this time they didn't have the power of expressing their opinion , finding rediculous excuses for not going with ATI because Nvidia was behind in DX9. Excuses that they now seem to abandon and actually use in their defend...

Of course, the best thing you can do to "stick to ATI" is just buy the Nvidia product,and be happy about it.

The Problem is Americans can barely stand someone from another part of the US let alone a bunch of french like and trained, imitators from above. I alos think that it is considered Patroitic to make fun of either the French or the Canadians, extra points for making fun of the French Canadians.

This is the best reason to be bashing ATi ATM- they are NOT competitive at all. When your launch you much delayed product and your die hard loyalists are saying 'wait until the next gen' before you manage to get product on the shelf you are sucking- no two ways around that. Right now ATi most certainly is in a position comparable to nV during the NV30 days although they have the added insult of getting the @ss handed to them at every price point ATM- this does not drive competition.

When ATi can get back in the ring and compete- that will be good for consumers. As long as they are doing as poorly as they are right now we shouldn't be giving them any credit.

How do you figure they're doing so poorly? The x1800 was delayed, that's about as far as the comparison to the nv30 holds. The shortage of supply is an issue, but the cards are available, some people already bought the XT, so it's not a paper launch. And regardless of what Nv supporters like to believe, it is faster than the 256mb gtx in the majority of benchmarks. Now all the nvidiots are jumping on the bandwagon of bashing Ati because a yet unreleased 512mb gtx is supposedly rumored to be faster, but no confirmation of this is available yet. And while a slower 256mb gtx is considerd on par with the XT even though it loses in most tests, the 512mb gtx is hyped up to wipe the floor with the XT even if it turns out only as much faster as the XT is over the 256mb gtx.

Also, while many nvidiots were touting the slower 6 series superior to the faster x850 because of extra features like SM3, they are now completely ignorant of the superior features of the x1800 like angle-independent AF and HDR+AA.

Of course I am poor, so new video cards is not really a concern of mine. At least I get free entertainment from watching some of these people with the maturity level of a grade-schooler make fools of themselves. And when I get bored of that I can just play an older game, or BF2 at 10x7. So keep up the good work.
