Playing Icewind Dale (including HoW) and ME1 currently. I know, weird combo, right?

I really want to get Master of Orion 2 working again, but Windows 7 x64 doesn't like it, I don't like how slowly DosBox runs, so I'm checking out about maybe doing a separate partition for Windows XP, maybe see if there's a solution that will let me go back to Windows 98.

Why not play GalCiv 2 instead?

i never played the original half-life, so i bought it the other day, and im now trying it.

About an hour or so in, i couldnt take it anymore. Amazon had a big sale yesterday, and the graphics were just too bad for me to handle.

I used to end up playing Diablo 2 just about once a year, but i think with 3 coming out, and torchlight i probably have played it for the last time.

I still play nexuiz occasionally.

I should give that a go as well. I'm very fond of MoO2 but never played the original.

Thanks for pointing out that GoG has it too, Craig. Does their version work on Windows 7?

I only got to play Icewind Dale once, I own the disc copy of ID2 and have played it a couple of times. I love an Infinity engine challenge, I should get 1 to play Heart of Winter.

I haven't found any games on gog.com that aren't working on Win 7, a reason why I re-buy old ones. I've read a few posts suggesting a few might need a tweak, but they all seem to.

Edit: tested it, it runs.

Looks interesting, hate low res.

No, sorry to disappoint, but I'm happy to hear you enjoy those games as well. I usually read your posts, been lurking a while since I tried to get involved in P&N.

Yeah, that's probably the best-hoped response for that.

:D

Hitman 2: Silent assassin, the game hasn't bloody aged at all. and the soundtrack gets me so bloody nostalgic. started yesterday and am currently on the Kirov park meeting. Want to snipe both of them off one single shot... can hardly control my excitement as im typing htis. 2 more hours to go at work. :)

Deus Ex is installed, but I need to do something to make it look a little better. If I remember correctly there are some graphics mods to help this.

To the guy playing Hitman2 I totally agree. Awesome game!

Settlers 2. Found out about the Return to Roots fan mod that allows mp over internet. So i got a friend hooked and we've been having a blast lately. Easily one of my all time favorites He's been trying to get me into Stronghold which i never tried when it first came out. So far im not feeling the whole castle sim thing, but still willing to give it a few more go's.

That's a horrible case of missing out on something great! I want to replay HL1 now, it's been a while but I wasn't bothered by the graphics even after playing HL2 before that.

For the moment, Dawn of War 1 and SW Empire at War.

But I have to resume my game in progress in Divine Divinity (from GoG).

i couldnt get into RRT3. i even had it the day before release due to the local game store putting it out a day before release. It was neat and fun for a little while, but it was just too easy. It seemed to play itself. I really liked that the trains would load up with whatever car it needed and took things where they wanted to go, but it was just too different. I guess i was just too used to RRT1 and 2.

I was a huge fan of MOO and MOO2 back in the day. Pitty MOO3 was such a cow.

Then I discovered GalCiv and played the heck out of it. GalCiv2 is great as well. Play that every so often. Nothing like firing up an Enormous Galaxy with five or six tough opponents. Then systematically conquering the Galaxy and crushing the lesser races under my iron boot. The GalCiv series is everything that MOO3 should have been and then some.
