Obviously I'm not gonna say that to the judge. Unlike others, I'm not a pansy-ass bitch who just bends over and lets the government mooch hard earned cash.

I think you already bent over when you thought you were ever so special.

I hear Ace Hardware has a sale on light bulbs, you need one about now.

I actually think that in certain areas, at certain times, speed limits are beneficial. I think they should automatically increase according to what time it is, so you can do 65 in a 40, at 2am when there isn't anyone on the road. Howabout that, you overzealous law-abiding people?

Get out your driver's license. Did you sign it? Then you've made an agreement to abide by the law. If you don't want to be bound by that agreement you can always surrender your license.

Obeying the law is a small price to pay for the freedoms and privileges you enjoy here in the United States. I don't have much patience for those who want to reap all the benefits of citizenship while shirking their duties.

A contract (the one you're referring to on the back of my license), is only valid if it is read and understood. I didn't read it, therfor, it means dick. I was driving a 92 caravan while I rebuild the carb on my 82 firebird.

no, you sign it, you're held to it. don't believe me? ask a judge whether you're bound to the contract you signed when you received your license.

No you idiot, it means you agreed to whatever the hell it says, and if you breach that contract, you're f'd.

<< Speed limits were designed with safety as the first priority. Cars have gotten safer, so speed limits should increase as well. Its simple logic I think even my cat would understand (and he licks himself all day). >>

A 45MPH speed limit would imply to me that you where on a City street with business and parking & sidewalks. The speed limit is set to ensure the safty of the kid on the bike, the old lady with a shopping cart and to allow cars to get on and off the road safely.

This ticket is 100% your fault. The presence or absence of the police have nothing to do with your lead foot. Slow down, Clown.

Edit:
Oh yeah, if the "pig" was on your tail while you were doing 62, his speed matching your car is even better then radar. He could well have a vid tape of his speedo and you!! Have fun in front of the judge. Your best bet is to say, (very, humbly), "I screwed up. will not do it again, Please forgive me."

<< o yea, I confused contracts w/ disclaimers... >>

You could look at it as a disclaimer...here, I'll paraphrase for you:

"If you don't follow all the crap we wrote down here, we can do things to you like:

take away your license,
impound and auction off your car (yes, we can),
put you in jail,
fine you a bunch of money,
put you on house arrest,
etc...

thank you."

" safty of the kid on the bike, the old lady with a shopping cart" There are no people out at 3am when I got the ticket. Again, I didnt want to start a huge argument over the validity of the ticket, or speeding in general, I just wanna get out of it.

<< If the kid is dumb enuff to just run into the street.....hmmmm >>

Like you would expect someone's 2 year old todler to understand all of this, so they can be defensive against someone like yourself? Yeah right! When someone comes over the hill by my house going twice the speed limit, dogs and cats that just happen to be crossing, have no time, and many have been hit and killed. The drivers, because they were going too fast, had no time to slow or stop. One day it will be someone's child... it's just a matter of time. It will be some rebel punk like yourself, who for some reason doesn't respect the laws, who takes someone's life out of their blatant disregard. I doubt you are going to get any sympathies here. People like you should never have gotten a license in the first place. Why not leave and go find an AOL chatroom to do your bragging in? I doubt you will ever have any respect here. :| This is gonna be funniest, when you lose your license, or your parents revoke your driving priveleges. They should probably take away your internet access too.

So, according to all the replies, berating my logic.

1. no one here has gotten a ticket
2. if you have, you enjoyed it, and you didnt want to get out of it
3. you love getting annoyed by pigs
4. youve never had a beer under the age of 21, or 18, because that would violate "the law"

1. no one here has gotten a ticket

well... i haven't.

3. you love getting annoyed by pigs

doesn't happen all that often.

4. youve never had a beer under the age of 21, or 18, because that would violate "the law"

i must have missed something... when was this brought up? and yes, i drink. but not while driving, if that's what you're getting at.

Its simply drawing a parallel between the constant references to the whole "idiotic laws- I love them" philosophy that's in this post.

1. no one here has gotten a ticket (I got a ticket in July, 45 in a 30. I paid the ticket, paid the traffic school surcharge, did the traffic school and paid the fee. Total: $142. I have about $200 to my name currently.)
2. if you have, you enjoyed it, and you didnt want to get out of it (see above)
3. you love getting annoyed by pigs (no)
4. youve never had a beer under the age of 21, or 18, because that would violate "the law" (No, I've never drank because it's stupid. Not stupid you say? Let's see...one of my old best friends is currently dealing with a girl he got pregnant because she & he were drunk...another guy at this party fell down some stairs and had a wine glass go through his hand because he was drunk....I could go on...)

To answer your questions:

No, I've never gotten a ticket, because I'm responsible and have compassion for my fellow man...I also have a brain.

If I were to receive a ticket that I DESERVED, I would pay it, end of story...if I had to hock my beautiful system to do it...I ACCEPT TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY ACTIONS...which is the definition of being an adult.

I have never been 'annoyed' by any law enforcement officers. If I were to be 'annoyed' by them I would take it up with their seargents and file an official complaint with the city/county/state. Of course, this would only be in a case where they were out of line, which is not very often in the grand scheme of things. I respect law enforcement, even when I don't agree with it.

No, I never had a beer while under legal age. Not because of the law actually, but because I dislike the taste of beer and that's all the idiot kids around me drank. But to clarify, I have never knowingly broken a law which might in any way endanger another living thing.

Any other questions?

I haven't gotten a ticket, I drive so the police are not a threat to my (perfect) driving record, and I've never had a beer at any age. And I have found a toddler standing in the middle of a street (it had wandered away from its home).

At 65 miles per hour, your car has 2.64 times the kinetic energy that it does at 40 mph, and you have 27.5% less time in which to get rid of it if you need to stop. Think about it.

1. no one here has gotten a ticket

Of course I have, and I deserved it.

2. if you have, you enjoyed it, and you didnt want to get out of it

Hello, you ain't supposed to enjoy it. Out of it? LOL!

3. you love getting annoyed by pigs

They are not pigs, you should save that for yourself. Hey, they are
doing thier job.

4. youve never had a beer under the age of 21, or 18, because that would violate "the law"

Now that you have noticed how foolish you are, you are trying to drag others down with you.
Shoot, I had a beer, but I did so with alot more responsibility than you have shown, and
without endangering others.
