The clicky-clicky interface does suck. The speed with which you could browse in 2.xx was the best thing about it. I like the 3.xx 'look' tho.

If you can speed up thew current version, that would be ideal. The old version didn't have the features and functionality.

Surprised you didn't say that this belonged in the Software forum.

I hope people realize some features will be lost (NSFW tagging, advanced search, etc...)

We'd give up a lot more than that for speed and no more 3-clickers.

i guess i should voice my minority opinion...

i liked the new interface better, such as the mouse-over thumbnails. overall, i just thought it was a more useful interface i guess.

Roll back, please.

While I applaud the effort that Dan has put into v3, I think he should have stopped halfway through ;)

so...when will the install package be out? I mean if bandwidth is such an issue, why not allow other ATOT'ers help you out by creating pics2.bbzzdd.com, pics3.bbzzdd.com, and pics4.bbzzdd.com

or better yet, use round robin dns and just load balance pics.bbzzdd.com

that way, you can host a copy of the site there, and I can host a copy here...we can share the load?

That's another thing. Dan was not going to release his code under the GPL or as freeware.

That's another thing, this is not Google or something where you would need load-balancing. For years it worked fine on a Celeron system. As soon as the feature bloat crept in that's when performance started to suck. I am of the opinion that you should not need a supercomputer or load balancer to run a simple picture hosting site.

I just want to thank the guys who worked on version 3. Your hard work is really appreciated. :)
