i kinda wished we had the many ways of viewing various pictures

sometimes i'd look at 3.0 and do:

random gallery
last 25
random gallery
most recent (1 week)
random gallery
most recent (2 week)
random gallery
highest rank
random gallery

etc...

random was awesome so was dividing up most recent

We have a whitelist of sites that can link pictures. Before we did that we got hammered by other sites. The list is full at the moment. Sorry.

I started writing the new version from scratch last night. I'm really happy with the direction I am taking with it. It should make it a lot easier to add new stuff and install anywhere. Don't worry about bloat. The goal is to make Google look fat in comparison

I am not against functionality and features. It's just that when you have to click unnecessarily to get that stuff you have to wonder if you designed something wrong.
