Picked up my new car just in time for the snow.

awesome! Great choice. Nice to see fellow vette owner in Atlanta! Grandsport is definitely the model to get if buying new and you plan on adding more power.

Sooo jealous. I've been pining for a C6 for the last couple years. Another year or two and I think I'll be able to deep-six my '93 Topaz (oh the shame) for a used one.

Congrats on the fine automobile. If you don't mind me asking, did you buy new or used?

Solid looking Z06! How many miles are on it? I love these cars, but it makes me sad because every time I see one it reminds me that mine is already 8 years old. :(

Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to move up to the 505hp club one day!

Edit - Looks like it's a GS. I just saw the hood scoop and assumed Z06...forgot the GS was out now. Just means I need a newer one so I know what the hell I'm talking about again!

Picked her up this morning at 10am, got to drive home, and then the snow started. Can't wait for the weather to clear so I can get some more time in the seat.

My favorite Vette (ZR-1 aside)... looks like you tinted the windows already (or is it a used car?).

lolololol, when I test drove the S4, the salesman asked me if I was interested in the R8, and told me it would be in the "affordable" 16-2000 dollar range. lol.

To answer a few questions. Yes, this is the Grand Sport model. I purchased it using my GM Employee discount. The color does have an orange tint to it. Only had about 5 miles when I pulled out of the lot. The dealer sells a lot of Vettes and had a guy that can do the tint on the tricky hatch. It was $250 which is pretty comparable to what people charge around here.

I was able to get about 100 miles in this weekend after the snow melted away. All I have to say is that the it is first a sports car and then passenger car. The ride, while not harsh by any means, does let you feel the road. The steering is a little light compared to the CTS for example, but not over boosted. The interior is also not as nice as the CTS, but not as bad I was expecting. After I put in a couple upgraded trim pieces like nicer floor mats, NAV head unit, and leather armrests, it will be more than acceptable. The power is just amazing. Compared to my 400hp GTO, this thing feels like a sledge hammer when you step on the gas. It definitely will knock your kidneys around if you get on it. Overall, I'm very happy with the car and look for to a track event this coming March.

Sounds like a blast to drive. Thanks for the mini-review.
