Funny how the absence of light can suddenly make things so much clearer. No, it should turn orange-ish red as the light is getting bent in the earth's atmosphere.

We in the Mountain time zone have to wait another two hours. <pout>Ladies and Gentlemen, we have totality, EST anyway. It looks awesome. I could see the light kind of blinking out when totality hit.
Beautiful
All ya'll that are stepping outside to see it, also look just below it at the Constellation Orion.
It's like Orion is looking up at the Gold moon.

I love picture #1 as it looks so much like just any rock.

Did you wear your over priced jeans while you did this?
I got Diesels on, so I don't mind getting them dirty.I never get my 7s dirty.
JMapleton, you are a god amongst men tonight.
I have seen M42 with my naked eye... I don't see it tonight.Ahaha, you must be in a rural area. I wish I could see M42 with my naked eye.

You have a standing invitation, anytime you want to go to my a-frame in breckenridge.
You can drive 15 minutes in any direction and you will leave the light polution and see the darkest skies ever.
I'm serious...
Just let me know when.
