Phaser or Lightsaber?

Lightsaber by far. Who wants some old, crappy looking phaser when you can make your own saber? Depending on the size, shape, and color of the crystals that you use, you can make yours however long, how bright, and whatever color you want. That's alot better than a simple energy-pistol. 🙂

I've heard that they have an incredible gyro to them when they're ignited, but I haven't read that much up on the theory.

The light-saber would be incredibly dangerous to use. No doubt you would end up with one less arm if you weren't careful enough. 😉 Of course, while the technology behind the light-saber would be more interesting to learn, the phaser would be more practical... *cough* and FUN! 😉

Light-sabers are for the highly-skilled... otherwise go for the phaser. You might be well-off without any weapon than with a light-saber if you're not skilled in it's use.
