Can a lightsaber heat a rock in winter to keep you warm?
(multitude of uses : clear the snow on your driveway, light your cigarettes, get rid of that damn frost on your car window, etc)

Can a lightsaber be set on stun to incapacitate and not kill?
(Instant knockout w/o *severely* breaking the "thou shalt not kill" rule & disintegration is another option whereby your defense to murder would be "what body??&quot😉

Can a lightsaber fit in your shirt pocket disguised as a complex pager/phone?

i would take the phaser. how many times have you tried to sword-fight or play with nunchucks? remember hitting yourself? well, the lightsaber would sure hurt if you accidentally slashed yourself.

Yes! But who needs to do that, just turn the sucker on, insta-warmth!

Doesn't need to. Chop off the enemy's arms and legs. insta-incapacitation! Because it's so hot, it'll seal the wounds immediately, preventing the loss of blood. And it can perform surgery. 🙂

Light Saber. Its just so much cooler then shooting someone with a laser beam. 🙂

PLUS, You won't have the chance to use your puny weapon anyway. I'd use Jedi mind control to fry your brain first.
 
i prefer a veron-t disruptor. it's much more ruthless because it disintigrates from the inside out.
 
jhu: Are those not banned from the federation? hehe, anywaz, although i am a huge fan of star trek, a light saber would be damm cool.
 
I personally am quite impressed with the Jedi. Not that Kirk and co. aren't cool... but the force... Now that's where its at 😀

My lightsaber makes a much cooler noise than the phaser. *pitchoo* vs *whaaaaaaaooooaaaoaooaoaaoooaannnnngggggg*

Phaser, much more fun.

Lightsaber, if you drop it point down then it will go through the floor.
Phaser, imagen the fun of setting it to stun and shoot your friends at a soccermach😀
