You guys won. You're the better team. LET IT GO.

Patriot fans are worse than Laker fans. They've forgotten how much their team sucked in the late 80s and 90s.

80% of the Pats fans on this board weren't fans until they won their first superbowl in 2002. God forbid someone call them a fairweather fan though. "We stood by da sox for 86 years!!!one11"

Peyton Manning is still the best QB in the NFL. The ramblings of uninformed football fans... all Patriot fans yap about is how they're a "TEAM"... and it isn't about individual players...blah blah blah... but when this "TEAM" beats another team... that other teams individual players become overrated.

Put Manning in New England and he'd have as many rings as Tom Brady has. Maybe more.

New England is more balanced than Indy is. That doesn't make Peyton Manning overrated.

Nah, Manning's not overrated. He's undoubtedly got the most physical talent out of any of the pure QBs in the NFL. When you're a dome team, winning in Foxboro against a Bellichick defense is about as hard as it gets.

I do agree with the guy who said Kurt Warner wins the award though...god I hated the insane props that guy got.

Ummm, let's see - Superbowl appearance in the 80's and the 90's - not bad for a team that sucked, eh?

How many times have indy been in a superbowl? EVER?

Manning doesn't deserve the credit for the loss. Colts simply got out coached. Here's a good article explaining how: article

Strange how I don't recall seeing a lot of Patriot fans 3-4 years ago. And I live in New England :)

But James did fumble, so it's a moot point, and the Pats can stop fast teams in a dome (like they did the Rams in their earlier Super Bowl). Anyway, he's not overrated, but the receivers might be.

Yeah sure, it's not as if the patriots' defense had anything to do with those fumbles or anything!

You're talking about a team with one of the greatest red zone defenses in the history of the NFL, and people are making excuses for the colts losing that game because of james' 2 fumbles? LOL.

When are people going to stop nit picking manning?

The steelers could be called the most overrated and undeserving team of their record this season.
Their schedule was a cake walk, though people will tout them as an amazing team. I can't wait to see the tones change then the patriots beat them.

Well, I can't speak for all the fans, but I've been a fan since they drafted Bledsoe (~92, 93 - can't remember exactly)

Short article but it makes sense. I was wondering that from the beginning of the 2nd half (or earlier). They were obviously not running on the Pats and they have the recorded setting MVP at QB along with 3 1000 yd, 10td WR. Why continue in a heavy/max protect formation with 2 TE or 2 RB. Just line up 3 WR, heck even line up Edge at the WR once in a while and force the Pats to put on their 5th or 6th string corner to try and cover them. I realize you have to keep the threat of the run going, but when it hasn't worked for 30+ minutes don't you think it's time to try something new.

And I don't think Manning is overrated. I think he's a great smart QB. But lacks the D to help out and he ran into a very good and VERY well coached Patriot team on the road. But I would still expect more than 3 points from him. (take into account 5-6 dropped passes) but still, not even a TD from him is pretty sad.

He never could beat the Gators!

Danny Wuerffel schooled him every time!!!

Even stole the cover of Sports Illustrated back in '95.
SI had followed Peyton everywhere all week long before
the big game in Gainsville. They had the story written
and the pictures taken... only problem was they forgot
one little thing. The Game. In The Swamp!!!

ya, the colts have a better history before 1994 than the patriots do. they beat the Cowboys in the superbowl and lost to the jets.

you are a complete moron. he never made excuses for the losses. he was just commenting on your original ludicrous claim that peyton manning is the most overrated qb.

They have next to no clue what they are talking about.

I see threads where Indy is now the worst team ever and is another dolphins because they lost one playoff game. Gee, how's that for black and white mentality.
Then there are the threads that judge and entire team or single players season and existence by one game. I laugh and try not to participate in football threads. They are dominated by children who barely watch the game, and can't remember anything prior to 1990.

Well you make a jackass thread, then backed it up with a jackassed post. Congratulations. Your man card is revoked.

I don't think he is but I do think his salary will keep the Colts from becoming a great team because of the Salalry Cap.

If you dno't understand how hard it is to win on the road in the playoffs, especially in snowy, frigid Foxboro, you don't know enough about football to intelligently offer an opinion.

No. He just got shut down in New England, but that doesn't overshadow his whole season.

I still don't think he was as good as Marino was. If they had the no touching past 5 yards rule when Marino was playing he would of had 60 TD's in a season.

What is he currently paid?

And I Do agree with the checking past 5 yds. That makes a big difference.

I heard a comment in the Colt vs Denver game that 70% of the Colt's salary is used on the offensive side of the line.

That doesn't leave much room for top pick defenders.
