Yep, same guy should petition for there to be abortion booths at the Democratic convention; the arena should meet all the health and hygiene standards Democrats think necessary and requiring women to go all the way to a clinic is so barbaric.

Only the brave (or insane) dare test the extremely sharp and narrow edge of their rights. But with the condition the Repub Party is in right now, open carry at their convention seems to fit right in with everything else going on in Pink Pachyderm Land.

By all means then, let the Open Carry GOP Convention proceed post haste with all the hoot'in and holler'in and shooting rounds into the ceiling. They could even have a fund raising sharpshooting contest with swinging effigies of the Dem candidates as targets? Sounds good huh?

But wait! Something is missing from the mix: Alcohol. Why not permit BYOB at the convention too? I mean, with a heavy fire stick in one hand, a guy and gal would need a full jug in the other for load balancing, wouldn't you think?

Pretty sure the booze already flows freely at those conventions. But, hell yea, I say hand out an AR-15 to everyone at the door yee haw!

Last time I checked it was the job of police, FBI, Secret Service etc. and not of individual, possibly untrained "gun enthusiasts" to make sure that such or similar events are secure/risk free.

Despite the absurdity of this petition, let's just hypothesize for the fun of it, YES, hand out AR-15s to each attendee. And then let's see whether this would actually and very real translate into less risk, less injured etc. in case of a (hypothetical) terrorist attack. The opposite might well be the case.

** Just to remind some of those negative IQ persons who would actually support this petition: There is a reason why SWAT teams, special forces etc. in time of an ACTUAL event happening do whatever they do carefully, planned, with the least potential risk. A lot of of those GOP rednecks live in a 1950s Hollywood fantasy world as it seems.

While he hasn't come out supporting Trump, he calls Trump a master persuader and thinks Trump is going to effectively win 70% of the popular vote in 2016.
