Not so much cruel as it is unsafe and unsanitary. What better thing to grow disease than dead, rotting corpses.

some are, some aren't. I have 35 porcelains, they all live fine together. They're locked in a couple of horse stalls for the winter.

Granted. But then the problem doesn't fall under the bailiwick of PETA. I suspect PETA would truly be happy with nothing less that the entire world population becoming vegan. (Then someone will come up with an organization protesting the unethical treatment of plants and fungus..)

Thats my reaction when Vegans and what not cry/whine at me for eating meat Astaroth33.... What about plants? Why do you eat those? ...They live..breath....have processes similar to animals... and all I get in response is..."Nuh uh!".. or "You are wrong!"

Can you really fault the restaurants for selling a legal product that the public demands? The problem as I see it is that we as consumers are largely inactive and inattentive to the nutrition in our food. People need to get off of their fat arses and exercise more often.
