They bring in millions of dollars per year for the University. They wont shut that down. Clean house, yes, I hope. Also the players are innocent in this and shouldn't be penalized imo.

That fat cash cow has completely screwed the morality, decency & ethics at that school. Other schools exist without the money of college football.

The players on football scholarships should be given a tuition free ride through the four years until they graduate, or they can transfer elsewhere.

Apparently even in 2007 this guy bought a little boy to a practice...................

I don't understand this at all.............................

I am not going to go down that road, but that would be completely wrong IMO. 20 years ago a sicko like this wouldn't be able to feed his deviant mind with images of this kind of stuff. Predators like this keep themselves stimulated with child like porn. Child porn is far more accessible today than 20 years ago. We have way more "outreach" groups today, just like this one this guy used, to bring together children. Thus allowing predators like this to pick and choose kids that could be exploited.

I believe our society has more outlets today to grow a deviant mind then 25 years ago. That is why sexual abuse of kids has grown and become more known. Its like an alcoholic who gets his courage from the liquor. These sexual preadtors are able to get their courage from the internet and media today. Amazon took it down, but a pedo actually wrote a book on how to be a pedo. 20 years ago you would have never ever heard of something like that.

Deviants have access to more knowledge on how to be a deviant today, than 20 years ago. Thus making them more dangerous and giving them more knowledge to act on those sick desires.

Got to remember Sandusky founded his pedo grooming foundation, The Second Mile, in 1977. I am sure he didn't wake up one day when he was in his 50s and say 'boy I think I should rape a little kid today' I bet he has been doing this shit for years. It will come out I am sure.

The fact that the school hasn't immediately fired all involved just proves that the money involved has blinded them to decency.

Shut the program down.

I am sure many are thinking transfer for sure. And the new recruits are thinking FFFFFFUUUUUUUU!

How long has that program been apart of Penn State or associated with Penn State? I didn't know he founded it.

Not going to happen. Hate to burst your bubble.

The "school" isn't one person. They can't just immediately fire everyone. It'll take time for the board (including the Gov. of PA) to meet and reach an outcome on who is going to be forced out.

They really do look incredibly bad right now. If they don't clean house by the game this weekend, I will forever hate them.

I blame this on Michael Jackson and the education system. Speaking of the latter, it is well known that tens of thousands educators have done everything imaginable to children sexually and will continue to do so. The number of educators, including coaches, etc, involved in crimes against children is so astonishing we are numb to it. They outnumber the number of priests involved in scandal by 1000 to 1.

When that notorious child molester and rapist Michael Jackson was set free by sympathetic juries it sent a message to dirty teachers and coaches that it was ok to molest because if he could get away with it, certainly they could too.

We should subject all teachers and anyone else in contact with children to annual surprise psycological evalutations and make them carry liability insurance just in case they arent caught by this method of invasive questioning. :\

It's never been a part of Penn State. The only association with Penn State is that Sandusky founded it, and was allowed to use the facilities because it seemed like a good cause.

The board of directors for the charity is made up of lots of famous people (Mark Wahlberg, Andy Reid, etc...)

Eight year olds Dude.

imo, in order to maintain any credibility penn state needs to fire the whole lot of them from paterno up to spanier. anything less, any kind of gray area, and there will always be feelings that they were complicit.

This is a wicked wicked story. What a fvcked up culture of turning a blind eye. Paterno isn't completely to blame for this, but Sandusky was 'one of his own' and Paterno chose to turn a blind eye after situations came to light that should have had the guy in jail or prison. Paterno shouldn't just be fired, he should be deported to an uninhabited island to live with his other penn state criminal cronies.

The death penalty has never been more appropriate.

Who wants to bet that the NCAA doesn't do anything since there were no NCAA violations broke? And instead they axe Miami for 3 years

I mean he's still involved in a charity that helps underprivileged children, so I'm not sure it's necessarily that crazy that he has a little boy with him. It might've been cool for the kid to see a football practice on the field?

I never said that, but there is no way you could possibly believe it was occuring then like it is now.

Of course you can. In fact, only an idiot would think that we are "hearing about it more and more" because there is more of it occurring. Sexual abuse of minors most certainly occurred far more frequently before 30 years ago, because it was extremely difficult to get caught back then. Now, you're more likely to get get caught than get away with it. Teachers, coaches, social workers and many more professions are required to report abuse, and the media will actually report that abuse, unlike 30 years ago.

no, but he was when this shit was going on in the late 90's. McQueary is one of the guys calling the shots now... who was the guy that walked in on the boy getting raped in the shower.

Fire the piece of shit. Penn St. shouldn't have a season next year.

No. He was BANNED from bringing kids into the facility. That happened for a reason. It was reported to faculty that he was raping a kid in the shower. Sorry. He should never have been allowed to be near a kid again.

BTW, he has 6 or 7 adopted kids. No biological children. They must've had some life.

I am not an idiot, dirtbag. Only a fool, a complete fool, would not recognize that we have more predators today than ever. It ain't got shit to do with people not talking or reporting stuff. Society is sicker and more dangerous than ever. Partly because people today like yourself think its safer today, is why those kids were left to the slaughter of this prick in the first place.
